AWAI CAFE is located in a corner of Kaizuka Kitamachi, which has many tangible cultural properties. This building is renovated while retaining its good old shape. I ordered the daily uri plate (1000 yen including tax) and rice & soup (300 yen including tax). With Korean royal court cuisine mekjeok (Korean miso-marinated pork) as the main dish, there were various side dishes, and the milky white beef bone soup contained winter melon and tteokbokki, making for a very gentle taste. On the way back, I was able to experience the townscape of various tangible cultural properties from the Edo period, and it was a very enjoyable experience along with lunch.

I went out of my way to look up the location, but it was closed because it was right after the Obon holiday. When I asked if they could just make iced coffee, they took the time to serve it, but since they weren't using beans for iced coffee, after drinking about half of it, it became watery and undrinkable.
