As someone who loves shrimp noodles (Ebi Soba) to death, I found another town Chinese restaurant that serves delicious "Ebi Soba". Visited during lunch on a cloudy Sunday, Shanghai Lou @ Kadoma City. Found it the day before via Google Map's chained search for "town Chinese", and immediately dropping by. Pre-info said it opens at 11:30, so I arrived a bit early at 11:20. The mother cleaning in front of the store looked at me with a suspicious face as I parked in the dedicated space, and when I told her I came to eat, she apologetically said "Opening is at 12:00~". Since I had the chance, I left the car there and went to the nearby "Gyomu Super" to kill time. Thought it was just window shopping but ended up shopping properly, 30 minutes passed in a flash. Returned to the shop and ready to enter. Naturally the order is "Ebi Soba" one and only. Run by the mother who greeted me earlier and her son (?). The bowl served shortly after was a delicious bowl carefully made by passing plenty of vegetables and potato starch-coated shrimp through oil. With 6 medium-sized shrimp, at this price and taste, this is definitely a winner. After finishing the meal, chatted a few words with the mother. "Thank you for coming all the way~". Downtown-ish and good. Warmed by the mother's words. Revisit decided because I want to eat other menus. Thank you for the meal. Postscript: The latest regular holidays are Tuesday and Wednesday. Opening hours on other days are from 12:00~. (Confirmed by owner)
View on GoogleOrdered karaage set meal L. Only the rice is L so the balance of 3 pieces of fried chicken and rice is tough. Thought hidden chashu in the set meal was nice, but no sooner had I thought that, the chashu was stringy and bad-colored, looking spoiled. It has no taste. The soup also has no umami, tasteless. Rather unnecessary. Mapo tofu's tofu is also little, feels like old tofu. Retort mapo tofu is tastier. Even during cooking, talking on the phone without a mask. Droplets flying everywhere, only fear. At 1000 yen per person for this food content, it's too expensive. Worst cost performance. Came looking at reviews but disappointing result. Anyway, no COVID measures. Smoking everywhere. No taste that surpasses that. It had a sickening aftertaste for half a day.
View on GoogleTown Chinese exploration (strolling by) A little walk from Owada Station, to Shanghai Lou. No guests. Ordered Chuka-don. Served in less than 5 minutes. The taste is strong and that's also ◎ Crunchy feel of vegetables, green beans are also included. Delicious! Regret not making it a large size... Family-owned and everyone is friendly. A shop guaranteed to be a repeat.
View on GoogleEntered past 13:00, zero customers The chef was sitting in the customer seats reading a sports newspaper and having a smoking time. I thought I made a mistake, but I really wanted to eat yakisoba that day so I ordered it The first bite felt like oh this is pretty good As I ate more, it got oilier and several fatty pork pieces appeared so I couldn't finish it Looking at reviews later, chuka-don seems to be highly rated 💦
View on GoogleChuka-don (680 yen) After all, the chuka-don here is exquisite! The soup is also an addictive taste. Dedicated parking space in front of the store. It was delicious. Will go again ♪
