Tasty 🍖🥓🍖🥓
View on GoogleA Western-style restaurant I've always wanted to visit ✨️ I ordered lunch set B and a bottled beer! I went right when they opened, so I was the first party ☺️ In a good way, the tonkatsu is completely different from usual tonkatsu 🥹 Super crispy, the meat is delicious, and the sauce on top is irresistible~! This kind of demi-glace sauce flavor at a Western-style restaurant is pure happiness 🫶 As for the omelet, I love sweet-style rolled eggs, and this was exaaactly to my taste! The sweet flavor was amazingly delicious 🥰 To be able to eat such a delicious lunch for just 1,000 yen... and bottled beer is super cheap at 500 yen too 😭 I'm stuffed and filled with delicious flavors ✨️ I've found another restaurant I want to keep visiting...! I'd love to try many other items on the menu 😊 It was a big help that I could pay with PayPay ✨️
View on GoogleI visited after spotting it while wandering around Google Maps. It feels like a local Western-style restaurant nestled in a densely packed residential area. For parking, there was a coin parking lot nearby. The atmosphere of the restaurant has a Showa retro vibe, with one 6-seater table and two 4-seater tables. Despite its age, I thought it was cleaned very meticulously. I particularly appreciated that there was no sticky residue commonly found on soy sauce cruets or sauce containers, making it feel very pleasant. Now, this time I visited with my wife, and after struggling endlessly with our choices, we ordered lunch set B, katsudon, and tamasui. The side salad for lunch set B was carefully decorated, and I was pleased by the effort put into it. The tonkatsu had a proper thickness, and above all, the demi(?) sauce was exceptionally delicious. Even the red wiener sausage, typical of the old days, is a nice touch. The katsudon might taste a bit strong, but surprisingly it didn't make me thirsty, and since there's plenty of rice, mixing it all together feels just right. The tamasui was also beautifully shaped with exquisite cooking time. The ingredients included enoki mushrooms, kamaboko, and yuzu peel, showing once again a dedication that spares no effort. Finally, a place that even accepts PayPay, making a repeat visit a sure thing 👍
View on GoogleAn old-established Western-style and set meal restaurant in Okura-cho, Kadoma City, Osaka Prefecture. Run by an elderly couple, with some fans visiting across three generations. The restaurant is located in a residential area of tangled narrow alleys, so finding it by accidental stroll is practically impossible. You won't reach it unless you check the map for its location and head there with purpose. It was a slightly late lunch, and perhaps helped by the fact that it was Sunday, due to the COVID impact I was naturally the only customer. Since the prices were reasonable and I didn't know when I'd be able to come back next, it would have been a waste to just order one dish, so I chose beef cutlet and fried shrimp from the numerous menu options. Western cuisine is my absolute favorite, and whenever I find a restaurant I try to visit as much as possible, but this was the first time the beef cutlet sauce had a Japanese-style twist. The light and slightly acidic Japanese-style sauce matched wonderfully. It's also delicious mixed with the cabbage as a dressing substitute♪ The fried shrimp consisted of two large prawns. They have length but not much thickness. They are cut into bite-sized pieces making them easy to eat, but I feel like leaving them uncut would boost the appetite more (laughs). You eat them not with tartar sauce, but with a somewhat sweet mayo-style sauce. If you dip each piece generously, you'll run out of sauce halfway through. However... truly, in my 5th year since entering my 40s, my stomach capacity has dropped completely, so when I got carried away by impulse, my belly was still fit to burst 3 hours later ^^; Even though my mind thinks ~ Let's eat this and that all at once right now! ~, in reality, eating a single portion is already plenty these days (T_T). I more or less understand the vibe now, so next time I might try something like katsukurry (^-^) #KadomaCityOsaka #KadomaLunch #KadomaWesternRestaurant #LongEstablishedWesternRestaurant #JapaneseStyleSauce #ShowaDiner
View on GoogleVisited alone for Sunday lunch. Located right in the middle of a residential area north of Keihan's Furukawabashi Station in Kadoma City. The surrounding roads seem to be local residential streets and are quite narrow. The roads are also quite winding, but there is a coin parking lot a few dozen meters south of the restaurant just in case. The restaurant has the appearance of a diner leaning towards Western cuisine, and with only 3 table seats, it's quite a compact place. It seems to have been operating here for many years, giving it a very historical feel. Personally, I found the interior to be clean despite its age. According to reviews, the shrimp butter rice seems popular, but they also had rice bowls, omurice, curry, Western-style lunch sets, and a quite extensive menu. There are various other menu items I'd like to try, so a return visit is on the cards. Note that payment was cash only.
