I heard it would close on December 26, so I hurried over There were lots of Matsushita Electric products on display from the early days, and the double radio-cassette player was so nostalgic. There was also a National Boy exhibit, and that song started playing in my head‼️🎶 Bri~ght National🎶 Everyone~ the whole house~ is bri~ght, Natio~nal~🎶🎶 The SANYO Pavilion's "Human Washing Machine," which was a hot topic at the '70 Expo, is also on display here, and it was really fun comparing it with the Science Human Washing Machine at EXPO2025. There's free parking too, and together with the Konosuke Matsushita Museum, I was able to spend about 3 hours looking around thoroughly.

A museum displaying products from Matsushita, National, and Panasonic. Back then they were well ahead of the curve, including in function and design, and the designs still hold up today, so maybe they could even reissue them. They flourished up until the era of LCD TVs and mobile phones, but domestic manufacturers lack vigor these days. I'd like to support them by buying their products, but it's also true that few products really spark my desire to buy. This museum displays many products from their heyday, so I hope it might offer hints for domestic manufacturers to make a comeback and compete globally. It seems the Monozukuri Ism Museum will also close on January 5, 2026, so if you're interested, go soon.
