I've been to the Karaage Kariju Owada Station front store countless times. It seems to have won Gold in the Karaage Grand Prix for 6 consecutive years. 1 minute walk from Keihan Electric Railway Owada Station. The shop is very small, but there are 2 table seats where you can eat. Being a popular shop and frying after ordering, the waiting time is long. Every time I wait about 20 to 30 minutes, so I often kill time nearby. This time I bought 5 kinds. [Boneless Karaage] Thigh meat karaage. It smells of spices similar to KFC fried chicken. A thick batter clings to the lump of karaage (meat part). You could say it crumbles crisply in your mouth, feeling that texture. This time it's fried brown, but it's usually whiter and has a lighter texture. The meat is tender and delicious. [Chicken Breast Karaage] This one is a bit mediocre. It's tender and the skin taste is solid, but the flavor doesn't soak into the meat inside, leaving it a bit dry. At 500 yen, same as the thigh, I might not order it next time. [Chicken Skin] I like chicken skin and end up eating too much. I always order it, but it's unfortunate that this time's was a bit cold. This also has a thick batter, so watch out for stomach upset. [Chicken Nanban] Chicken Nanban of the type where the sauce soaks in. Moist, and the sweet and spicy sauce goes well with rice. Tartar sauce has a strong acidity, close to McDonald's Filet-O-Fish tartar. [Chicken Wings] 3 pieces in one set. The taste is strong. The sauce soaks in and it has good meat on it. Ordered for the first time, but it was delicious so I'll probably order again. Crispy and juicy, this deliciousness is addictive, not to mention the thigh karaage, the breast karaage is also top-notch. What I'm personally hooked on is the side dish in the bento box. Delicious! Especially the chicken skin, juicy and crispy to eat. However, maybe too much potato starch? and oily accordingly. Texture is top-notch, but gives great heartburn.
