Replicating the taste of luxury Chinese cuisine that used to be in Izumisano. If you eat the chop suey, you should be able to tell the difference from standard town Chinese food. Vegetables aren't cut like this in town Chinese food, and the way they thicken the sauce is exquisite. I heard the owner trained at a luxury Chinese restaurant called Itsuboten in Izumisano. Other reviews are harsh on customer service, but town Chinese restaurants with just a counter don't even provide service. You'd better focus on the food here.
View on GoogleHad the set ramen + tenshinhan. Both were a solid single portion and change from a thousand yen, incredible value!! It was light and tasted just the way I like it. Next time I want to try mabodon.
View on GoogleThe atmosphere of the shop is pretty much the usual Showa style, but it seems clean. However, whether the master and wife were in a bad mood, or if it's just their usual demeanor, or perhaps because we were first-timers, the lack of friendliness was so shocking that the impression from the start was extremely bad. If the food was unusually delicious or in large portions it would be okay, but the taste was bland, the portions were small, and there wasn't a single good impression. Since I went on a holiday, I couldn't feel the value of lunch (can't be helped), and it felt very disappointing. It was quite regrettable.
View on GoogleA hidden gem of a Chinese restaurant with large portions. ■ Early May 2022 lunch visit Ordered the Special Set (850 yen). Includes fried food, crab egg omelet (kanitama), soup, mapo tofu (this time it was mapo eggplant), rice, pickles, plus sweet and sour pork (subuta) or chop suey or green pepper beef stir-fry (qingjiao rousi)! Surprised when it arrived! The volume is just too huge. Mapo eggplant and chop suey had flavor seasonings I've never tasted before. Maybe closer to authentic. Mapo eggplant doesn't feel spicy right away, but has a nice kick down the throat. Delicious. Other lunch menus range from 600-850 yen! ・ Daily special 600 yen ・ Ramen set, fried rice set, yakisoba set, crispy fried noodle set 700 yen ・ Add ramen with fried rice or chukadon or tenshinhan or mapodon for under 850 yen. Run by a Japanese married couple, and the wife's customer service was cheerful and pleasant. The parking lot seems to be lined up next to the shop. A hidden Chinese restaurant hard to imagine from the outside.
View on GoogleVisited at lunchtime The shop was empty inside A bit confusing on how to park the car Ordered the special lunch set The seasoning itself isn't bad, but the egg dishes seem a bit too strong in flavor The soup was ordinary Wanted more crunch for the karaage and baby shrimp tempura Mapo tofu is light but spicy later on Sweet and sour pork is ordinary Chop suey feels a bit too bland Feels like a different dish Appreciated eating small portions of various dishes, but felt it lacked a punch Appreciate that the price is cheap
