If you’re looking for an authentic local experience in Japan, this small yakiniku restaurant is a hidden gem. The place is cozy and has a truly local atmosphere, run by the sweetest elderly couple. They don’t speak English, but they do their best to communicate and make you feel welcome—it adds to the charm of the experience. The meat quality is excellent, tender and flavorful, and the prices are surprisingly affordable. Considering the quality you get, it’s absolutely worth every yen. On top of that, the restaurant is located just a few steps away from the train station, making it very convenient to visit. Highly recommended if you’re nearby—don’t miss the chance to try it!

View on GoogleVery traditional Japanese yakiniku restaurant, great atmosphere. As a tourist, you can definitely feel the vibe of a traditional Japanese small shop! For someone like me who doesn't understand Japanese at all, the owner immediately handed over a translated menu, which felt very thoughtful. The selection of meat is top-notch, and the owner and staff are also very friendly and kind; highly recommend the filet mignon and short ribs, they are super delicious!! Average spending per person is about ¥2,500.
View on GoogleOld-school yakiniku restaurant, affordable prices and fresh meat The portion for one person is a bit small, so I was able to order a variety of things. The meat is also cut into slightly smaller pieces. I felt nostalgic for the Showa-era atmosphere.
