It was wonderful, great experience and food with my wife there.
View on GoogleA long-standing blue crab specialty restaurant in Izumisano. With the special omakase course, I luxuriously relished the sweet blue crab sashimi, roe, salt-grilled, sake-steamed, and deep-fried crab shell. The deep-fried crab shell, in particular, was exquisite. The service was polite and the interior was clean. Recommended for special days.
View on GoogleI had been curious about this restaurant for over a decade, and recently I finally had the opportunity to visit with two acquaintances, combining it with a New Year's party. If you turn smoothly from Route 26, there is a parking lot with enough space to park a bus. The taste goes without saying, it's delicious. It seems that discounts apply if you stay at The Rev Kansai Izumisano by Vessel Hotels (according to their website).
View on GoogleVisited with 2 people during consecutive holidays I often eat swimming crab in Korean cuisine, but this is the first time having it as the main ingredient in a course meal We thoroughly enjoyed the large crabs through grilling and hot pot Compared to snow crab and the like, it has a slightly milder flavor, but you can enjoy an elegant broth ◎ The staff were friendly and kind, and the service was attentive
View on GoogleIt was wonderful. I have been to eat snow crab before, but in the case of snow crab, they eat it whole by boiling, grilling, sashimi, etc. There is no particularly special preparation (just perhaps at the restaurant I go to). Matsuya-ya's dishes all shine with craftsmanship. Because they are prepared with care, even though everything is crab, it feels like eating an elaborate kaiseki meal. I liked the grilled crab the most. The crab miso is rich, and I'm sure this flavor is unique to the blue crab. It seems times have been tough due to COVID. They mentioned that blue crabs are also decreasing year by year. It's far and not easy to drop by casually, but I definitely want to go again when I go to Osaka.
