This was my last dinner after 4 weeks and my first time in Japan. It was a great experience. There were a few locals inside who treated me to a drink and a great conversation over dinner. I got the mixed Okonomiyaki and it was delicious. The restaurant is 47 years old and it feels like such a local fixture in the community. Id highly recommend to anyone seeking out authentic and delicious Okonomiyaki.

With 45 years this is an institution in Izumisano. Kayo-san is funny and skilled, and her okonomiyaki are delicious.

No English, but I had some friendly Japanese co-customers that shared their food with me (let me try their Yakisoba and grilled squid in butter, would definitely get them next time) and helped me translate. The pork Okonomiyaki and gyoza were great too.

Visiting alone on a whim after seeing reviews. Aokonomiyaki restaurant run solely by Mama Kayo. Even though it was near closing time, she let me in and made delicious okonomiyaki 😊 The food is delicious of course, but what's noteworthy is Mama Kayo's thoughtfulness, hospitality, and the warmth of the regulars 😭 It's no wonder she is loved by many locals. I definitely want to visit again if I use Kansai Airport. Thank you for a fun night in Izumisano ♥
