It was the first restaurant we drove to upon arriving at Kansai International. We didn't know what to expect, but after ordering our food through pictures on the owner's phone (the menu is in Japanese only with not accompanying pictures) we were delighted by how delicious the udon was. The noodles were so chewy and curry sauce just perfect! I would've give it a 5 out 5 stars, but the inconvenience of the menu and cash-only policy was what took 1 star out. Still, I would like to go back there again~

Chewy handmade udon noodles ! yummy!

I came to Amaha, an udon restaurant located near the Izumisano City Hall. The interior has counter seating and 4-person table seating. I dropped by around 11:30, and inside there was one person at the counter and one group in a box seat. Warm tea and cold water are provided. I sat at the counter, looked at the menu, and ordered. I ordered the large Oroshi Udon Special and onion tempura from the menu posted on the wall. The onion tempura came first. It seems they use onions from Senshu. The sweetness of the onion and the freshly fried crispy batter match nicely and it is very delicious. The Oroshi Udon Special also arrived. The chikuwa tempura is also freshly fried and delicious, and the udon has an amazingly strong chew! It's very satisfying to eat. I definitely want to come back again and try a different menu.

First time using this place. It's a restaurant I've been curious about for a while. I ordered the seasonal "Water Eggplant Tempura Bukkake Udon" and the "Chikuwa Tempura Udon Ginger Flavor Set". Despite the reasonable price, the taste was also very delicious. The udon had a very strong chew, and the tempura was crispy and top-notch. I would like to use it again if I have the opportunity.

I had the set of Chikuwa Tempura Cheese Curry Udon (950 yen) and white rice (180 yen). The thickness and chewiness of the udon are just right and to my liking. Curry udon and rice dive, an irresistible combination. Maybe it's a good idea to prep my stomach condition and go for the large size next time?
