We went for dinner. Place at the counter had 5 local patrons. We didn't know what to order, so we pointed to what the locals were eating. The oden was yummy. Its daikon and fishcake were delicious. The locals were eating those. Soon the elderly lady boss came to chat, using translation app to ask if we were in Osaka for the cherry blossoms. Soon the guys to our left and right also tried to make conversation. We had a good time as the evening progressed, and our conversation topics (via Google Translate) widened... to the point of finding what profession all of us are in and ages of our children! We had 1 shochu soda, 3 beers, tempura, oden, aged grilled squid, grilled fish cheek were excellent. The stir fried chicken was so so. The locals offered us some raw small octopus to try, was also nice. Soon the elderly guy boss came out to sit with us. They told all of us that they were closing at 10.15pm. So all must leave, unfortunately. 😅 Spent ¥6200 for food and drinks. I think it's very reasonable for such good meal and friendly ambience. Con: The locals smoked inside the izakawa.

Excellent and homely izakaya. Service was top notch too. There is an English menu so it's tourist friendly. Worth a visit!

51. 참마와 참치 33. 방어 양념구이 11. 치쿠와 어묵 61. 생맥주(중) 맛은 괜춘해요~ 밖에 기린이라 써있는거 보고 들어갔는데, 생맥은 아사이 ㅠㅠ 기린 병맥은 있어요~ 1730에 첫손님으로 갔는데도 약간 찌든 담배냄새 ㅎㅎ 약간 담배냄새와 기린생맥이 없어서 별하나 뺌니다~ 영어 한국어 안되지만 한국어 메뉴 있어서 번호로 시키면 되요~ 아주머니 친절합니다 ㅎㅎㅎ
