This shop I've been curious about, Tokushima ramen in Izumiotsu? I went to check it out. Visited around 11:40 on a weekday, entered without waiting, and there was 1 customer ahead of me. Ordered the Gachi-toku Ramen Regular, which is the most faithful Tokushima ramen. The bowl arrived in under 5 minutes. At first glance, it looks like a tonkotsu shoyu ramen with lots of pork belly slices. However, as it claims to be sukiyaki-style, it's sweet, extremely sweet. If you crack open the raw egg freely available on the table and mix it in, it becomes somewhat mellow. The pork belly slices are delicious when eaten wrapped in the raw egg. Good when placed on top of the complimentary rice. Finished eating with a sukiyaki-like eating method. However, it reconfirmed that I don't really like Tokushima ramen much. The other customer was eating abura soba, so maybe that's the right choice after allー. Complimentary rice, complimentary raw egg, good customer service from the staff, and convenient since PayPay can be used, but the Tokushima ramen is just so-so. There is also a Marutoku Ramen with toned-down Tokushima-ness, so maybe I should try challenging that one next timeー. Thanks for the meal, thank you.
View on GoogleVisited just past noon on a Saturday. Guided to a table seat without waiting, and ordered by scanning the QR code placed on the table. I thought it would take time since it was run by a single operator, but the food was brought out about 5 minutes after ordering, which was a happy miscalculation. Both of us ordered ramen, and we were satisfied with the sweet soy sauce ramen as expected, a gentle taste that makes you feel relieved. Rice during lunchtime is plus 30 yen. Eggs placed on the table are free up to 2. Payment can be made by cash, credit card, and various code payments. A short walk from the station, but not inconvenient, so I don't think it hurts to keep it in mind as a lunch candidate. However, it's a small shop so probably unsuitable for large groups. The owner's calm response was nice.
View on GoogleVisited after a gap of several years. Tokuyama ramen after a long time! Free raw eggs, rice for 30 yen at lunchtime!!! Sweet and spicy soup, faint ginger flavor. Like sukiyaki, it fits best when eaten with white rice. It was run by a single operator so they looked busy, but they still showed care by asking if the rice was okay. 3 parking spaces.
View on GoogleHead to [Marutoku Ramen Izumiotsu Branch] located in Izumiotsu City, Osaka Prefecture during lunchtime. Hearing you can eat Tokushima ramen in Osaka, and since it's been about 6 or 7 years since I last ate it, among the 3 types of Tokushima ramen (brown, yellow, and white), you can eat the brown type of Tokushima ramen here. Parking is available for 3 cars by entering from the side of the shop to the back. Here, besides Tokushima ramen, abura soba is also said to be popular. Sticking to my initial resolve, I ordered the 'Gachi-toku Chashu Ramen Large' ❗ At lunchtime, a small bowl of rice is free, so of course I asked for it. On the table, eggs—whose prices have been soaring—were placed and stated to be free. Large Gachi-toku Chashu Ramen with small rice, topped with sweet-and-spicy simmered pork belly, arrived ❗ Chashu is 5 slices. The noodles are thin curly noodles. The soup is a sweet soup combining tonkotsu soup with a special dark soy sauce tare, making it sukiyaki-style. Personally, I was surprised by how sweet it was. Is Kansai sukiyaki this sweet? It was a soup that made me unable to help wondering that. Since I haven't eaten sukiyaki itself for a while, I don't remember the taste of Nagoya's sukiyaki either... It was delicious when I put chashu, pork belly, nori, complimentary raw egg, dashi soy sauce, and special rayu on the rice that came as a lunchtime service, and poured the ramen soup over it. Thinking I should check out Tokushima again sometime to see what Tokushima ramen really tastes like, it was a lunch where I thought that. Stuffed stomach ❗ Thanks for the meal ❗
View on Google2023.3 Visited around 13:00 on a Friday Parking is available for 3 cars in the back, and 3 cars at the apartment across the street. There is a coin parking lot next door, but since it's super cheap (300 yen a day?), that's fine too. The interior was about 80% full, but we were able to get seated without waiting. The staff are energetic and friendly. Instead of Tokushima ramen, I had Ore no Mazesoba regular for 1000 yen. At lunchtime, service rice is free, and rice bowls become cheaper. On top of that, eggs are all-you-can-eat. It was very delicious Thanks for the meal.
