If you want to eat Western-style food in Izumiotsu, Ahiru no Ko was a shop I really liked. This time I had their signature tenderloin steak, and I was surprised by how tender the meat was. The knife went through smoothly, and every time you chew, the umami of the meat spreads firmly. The sauce isn't too strong, went well with the rice, and I could eat it all the way to the end without getting tired of it. Being able to see the cooking process across the counter had a great atmosphere, and the calm vibe characteristic of an old-school Western diner is also appealing. With the salad, rice, and miso soup included, it was highly satisfying, and I understand why it's loved by regulars. I want to go again.

You can get rice refills so I think it's a good deal, but the tenderloin steak has bad value for money. The hamburger steak was also burnt and had a bitter taste. If you call yourself a steakhouse, I'd like you to at least keep the teppan clean. Payment during lunch hours is cash only and credit cards cannot be used. Even though there's a credit card sticker on the front Isn't this a violation!?

Checked in brought by a local friend. I heard they've been in business for over 40 years, so it has a very retro atmosphere which I like. I had the hamburger steak! Seats are counter-only, about 10 seats.
