The name of the shop explained it all. There is surely a reason why it was passed down to 3rd generation (三代), simple because it is different from the usual Ramen you can find in Japan!! It has its own recipe and you can immediately tell that it is not the commercialized kind of Ramen taste.... If you care for a unique taste of Ramen, try this out. Don't miss out their "fried rice" too, it is a MUST TRY.

View on GoogleCurious about the Ma-han, I came here for my very first visit! Ordered the Salt Tonkotsu Ramen & Ma-han (Medium) set! Despite the rich tonkotsu broth, it lacked any gamey odor and was easy to eat. The homemade menma was also good. The Ma-han is something people either clearly love or hate. It's delicious, but... with the flavor of sesame oil and sweetness... you get a bit tired of it, so a small portion is enough. Thank you for the meal.
View on GoogleVisited a shop in Izumi City for the first time in a while. Inheriting the lineage of the shop in Higashiosaka, the atmosphere that makes you understand why it is loved by locals is common to both stores. I visited late last hour last time too, and I appreciate that they are open until late at night. Parking lot in front of the store. Ticket vending machine. Counter and table seats. There is a return counter at the back of the store, but I wonder if it's currently not in use. 'Tenryu Ramen': The rich animal-based broth with a strong chicken presence is a so-called chicken-tonkotsu that is nostalgic and heartwarming. It has a moderate thickness and solid umami. When a comforting ramen like this comes out at a shop you casually drop by on your way home from work, it really strikes a chord. The medium-thin whole-wheat noodles are resilient and glossy. It's a surprising match, but feels totally natural. The super-sweet menma, aimed at changing the flavor, was just as it was back in the day as expected, making for a happy reunion. Rather than planning a trip specifically for it, it's that kind of shop and that kind of ramen where dropping by casually and finding the unchanging taste still there is happy and fun.
View on GoogleNoodle-hunting today as well. Salt tonkotsu ramen + Ma-chahan small 1,220 yen. Neither good nor bad. Overall a rather sweet taste. The menma is boiled down to be quite sweet and spicy, which might divide opinions. I wasn't a big fan of it. The chahan also had a sweet flavor! Thank you for the meal 🐷
