I thought this was so good
View on GoogleSomehow everything feels half-baked. It looked like Sarashina soba, but the soba lacks much impact. It's thin and goes down the throat smoothly. Since all the soba dipping sauce is in the soba cup, the flavor of the sauce drops in the second half. Moreover, because there's quite a lot of it, dipping the soba just a little bit is quite difficult. And that soba dipping sauce is, again, half-baked in flavor, perhaps boiled down too much. Due to these 3 points above, the flavor and aroma of the soba are crushed. Even though you're eating a set meal at a soba shop, no soba-yu is served. (They might have it if you ask) Even if they did, I doubt it could fit into the soba cup. The kayaku rice is a bit greasy and mediocre. The tempura was freshly fried and this was the only good part. Since the staff aren't always inside the shop, you have to call them even to pour tea. However, the tea is delicious, and the temperature of the served hot tea was just right. The interior hasn't changed much since it was an udon shop, and the atmosphere was good. Kayaku Rice and Tempura Soba Set 1,350 yen + Large Soba Noodles 1,600 yen? Kayaku Rice and Soba Set 1,110 yen
View on GoogleVisited around 11:30 on a holiday. The nearby parking lot was already full. Seated at a tatami-style seat (horigotatsu style) without waiting time. The Yudame Tsukisoba Set (1,530 yen) pairs warm soba with a beaten-egg-mixed dipping sauce, crispy tempura, and even comes with shirasu rice to leave you full—great cost performance. Around 12:30 when leaving, a waiting line had formed, so arriving right after opening on Sundays and holidays is recommended.
View on GoogleLooking for a lunch spot when returning from Izumi-Chuo to Kawachinagano, I saw the signs for stone-milled soba and Kyoto Kodaiji and thought the atmosphere looked nice, so I dropped by to take a look. What I ordered was the autumn-limited menu ◼️Kujo Scallion and Sabiton Pork Tsukemen Soba Set ✳️ Stone-milled thin noodles retain a fine aroma. Kujo scallions really go well with soba after all ✳️ Since I made it a set, it comes with freshly fried tempura ✳️ The rice is wasabi rice, mixed with Shizuoka specialty pickles 'Tsuntsun-zuke' and shaved dried bonito flakes ◼️ Inside, it's a large box with many Japanese-style rooms, but the service handled is friendly.
View on GoogleThe parking lot is always full of cars at lunchtime. Went expecting to wait. Inside the shop was much larger than expected, a comfortable-feeling place, and the staff were friendly too. Lots of enticing menu items. Ordered the grated bukkake with tempura. The tempura is crispy. The soba goes down smoothly and mixes with the grated daikon radish, making it very easy to eat and delicious on a hot day.
