A gelato shop open until 11 PM located right in front of the Starbucks in Izumi Fuchu. Stopped by because I wanted something sweet after yakiniku. Even though it was a weeknight, there were lots of customers! Chose the double for ¥500 ✨ Flavors were Small Berries x Strawberry & Rich Milk. The rich milk is super creamy and the combination with the currently in-season strawberries is top-notch! There is rusk hidden under the ice cream, and the crunchy texture was delicious ~ I want to go again ❤️

BONBON, located a short walk from Fuchu Station. A gelato shop opened nearby, so my friend and I went to check it out! You can choose the number of scoops from single, double, and triple, and they have gelato daifuku wrapped in gyuhi (sweet rice cake), ones topped with brûlée-style baked sweet potato—so many varieties that choosing was a real dilemma. The gelato flavors also vary and seem to change daily, so I checked their Instagram stories in advance before visiting! I was lucky because my favorite black sesame was available on this day. My friend and I ordered different ones and shared them among everyone! I heard it's a sister shop of 'KAWASAKI', a gold-award-winning specialty high-end bread shop, so there was bread lined up at the storefront, and rusks under the gelato, allowing you to enjoy bread as well. You could even choose the size of the rusk pieces, whether finely crushed or coarse, and it was so deliciousー

Visited 'bonbon', a gelato shop in Izumi City. The interior has a cute atmosphere, and the colorful gelatos lined up in the showcase catch your eye. The melt-in-the-mouth texture is smooth, and the natural flavors of the ingredients really come through. The sweetness is not too heavy, allowing you to enjoy it deliciously right to the end. With a wide variety of flavors, choosing is part of the fun. The gelato conveys careful craftsmanship rather than flashiness, resulting in a high level of satisfaction. A shop I'd want to stop by again if I'm in the neighborhood. Overall, I rate it 4 stars.

Visited around 14:00 on a weekday. The shop was empty, so we could eat in. Had the strawberry and mandarin orange double gelato for eat-in. Wrote a Google Maps review to receive a free mini daifuku ice cream as a gift. I could choose the ice cream flavor to wrap inside the daifuku, and went with pistachio. The strawberry had a nice crunchy seed texture. The mandarin orange was refreshing and juicy; the match between the gelato and fruit was outstanding. I'd love to try the rich vanilla and chocolate flavors next time. Children can enjoy a smaller kids' gelato for ¥250. Also bought some bread. They mentioned that cheese bread is available exclusively on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. They kindly explained the texture differences between square-shaped and mountain-shaped shokupan and the characteristics of each, which helped me choose. The Cheese CUBE cheese stretches endlessly and is highly recommended! Next time, I want to go on a day when my targeted bread is available after checking the calendar. It's inconvenient that there is no parking lot, but the staff, gelato, and bread were all great, so my list of recommended spots has grown. ~Purchases/Prices~ Gelato Double ¥500, Gold Award Loaf ¥450, Cheese CUBE ¥280, Donut-style Red Bean Butter ¥250

A handmade gelato specialty store located in Fuchu-cho, Izumi City. Priding themselves on a smooth, melt-in-the-mouth gelato texture, they offer a wide variety of flavors that change daily. This time I got the triple ice cream of mango, vanilla, and chocolate. Especially the summer-limited peach flavor was refreshing yet distinctly sweet, leaving the biggest impression. It's rare to find a place that sells bread alongside gelato, and since they apparently have award-winning shokupan, I'd love to buy that next time too. The exterior of the shop also has a great atmosphere, making it a relaxing space to spend time with gelato in hand. Being a popular shop, it's a recommended spot for anyone looking for gelato in Izumi City!
