The morning toast price starts from ¥170 ~ and coffee price starts from ¥350 ~ so it’s very affordable and very good taste 🤤. The quantity of butter/ margarine 🧈 they put is so much it enhances the taste of toast 🍞. Must go if you have time . No 🚗 parking. Only cash 💰. Wheelchair ♿️ ok 👌. You can park your cycle 🚲 near to shop . Staff is very polite and nice woman . Spacious . We went here on Tuesday and they have many customers , I think weekends may be it will be very busy so if you want to try try on weekdays . They have omrice and pasta 🍝 in lunch time also . I will definitely go again .

A coffee shop located inside the shopping arcade of Izumi Fuchu. The name had changed to Coffee Shop 'Akari'. Smoking is allowed inside, making it a resting place for smokers. I would be happy if it were non-smoking ideally, but since it's an old-school coffee shop, I think that in itself gives it character. I ordered the strong blend coffee, and it was a delicious coffee where you could feel the bitterness and richness ☺️

Visited for breakfast. Located a bit off the main street, it's a shop with the atmosphere of a traditional old-school kissaten. Both the exterior and interior have a somewhat nostalgic and relaxing vibe flowing through them, making it just the right space to take a breather. The breakfast menu is not a set; it's a style where you order coffee, toast, etc., separately. This time I had the blend coffee and butter toast. What was particularly impressive was that two almonds were served alongside the coffee. It's a small touch, but it acts as a palate cleanser, and the nutty fragrance enhances the flavor of the coffee. The blend coffee has a very well-balanced profile of solid richness, subdued acidity, and moderate bitterness, which personally tasted reminiscent of Colombian or Brazilian beans. The toast was also nicely toasted, making for a simple yet satisfying slice. A shop I want to visit again on mornings when I want to spend time quietly or when I want to feel relaxed.

2023.05.03 Visited on the first day of Golden Week. A smoking-allowed coffee shop. Very happy for smokers ✨ Table seating was crowded, so I was guided to the counter. Despite being an old shop, the interior was kept very clean. There was no dust on the decorative items that must have been sitting there forever, and I could sit down with peace of mind knowing they probably clean meticulously. Since it was coffee from a breakfast set, I wasn't expecting much, but they served coffee with deep flavor that I could enjoy like taking a deep breath without sugar or milk. (The kissaten I usually frequent serves set coffee that's like black hot water, so I was genuinely moved.) Looking at the menu without pictures, I ordered the ham and egg toast, thinking it would be placed on top of bread, but instead, a hot sandwich with ham and egg sandwiched between thinner bread with an appetizing toasted color came out. It was cut into pieces, delicious, and easy to eat. When I looked over because the shop staff were having a fun conversation, even while talking to each other, their eyes were directed toward the customers, so refilling water and handling payments were extremely smooth. Professional and cool. What a wonderful shop ✨ Seeing my husband munching on his toast looking very happy and saying 'When we drop by Izumi Fuchu, we definitely want to come here,' put me in a very happy mood. Thank you for the wonderful time.

This morning's coffee is at Baraki near Izumi Fuchu Station. Strong blend. Ham and egg toast. Relaxing in a retro kissaten with a great atmosphere. Nice that it opens from 7 AM. The ham and egg toast with aurora sauce has thinner bread, making it just the right volume. Having a leisurely breakfast, I feel like I can do my best at work today.
