I had a great time here listening to lukugo!
View on GoogleWhile walking through the arcade of the Sakaemachi shopping street in Ikeda, I spotted lots of Rakugo Museum banners! I checked the location on Google and went. Admission is free, and the staff kindly helped me when I went in. Inside, there's a kōza stage built so you can see it up close. Also, on the 2nd floor there's a mock-up of a dressing room, and it was a really fun space. If you're nearby, why not drop by once?
View on GoogleThe Rakugo Museum Yose on the second Saturday of every month is 1500円 in advance and 2000円 on the day. This day was Katsura Nikoniko Bun-chan's debut performance.
View on GoogleAdmission is free! On the second floor, you can watch rakugo DVDs and more for free. There are also days when yose shows are held where you can watch rakugo on the kōza stage cheaply, for 1500円 (same-day ticket) etc., although it's paid. There also seem to be days with classes by amateurs. Next time I'll go on a day when rakugoka are performing. I think it's one of Ikeda City's signature tourist spots. Thank you very much.
View on GoogleI only learned that Ikeda City has a deep connection with rakugo when I came here. On 2F you can watch rakugo DVDs for free. There's also a real kōza stage. If you love rakugo, you should definitely visit.
