おやじカレーOyaji Karee
This is "Oyaji Curry", a curry shop located a 5-minute walk from Ikeda Station. In addition to oyaji's special beef tendon stew curry and katsu curry, we also offer beer sets and more. We were also certified as a neighbor's national treasure★ "Make customers healthy!" is oyaji's motto! Rather than just making delicious curry, he added a lot of vegetables for the customers' health and it became delicious. After receiving a comment from a customer that the beef tendon stew was greasy, instead of reducing the beef tendon, he doubled the vegetables. Of course, because of that, the effort is also doubled!! Please come and enjoy oyaji's carefully selected curry!!

Chanced upon this restaurant while visiting Ikeda. The food is surprisingly delicious and the place is very small but cosy. The owner is very friendly and welcoming as well. I definitely would have passed by because it's not ostentious. Truly a hidden treasure. Will come by again if I travel to this area :)
View on GoogleDelicious! A delightful little (very little!) place. Recommended by the Ikeda free tourism spots guide book, although it's not actually shown on their map and I walked past three times before realising and actually finding it by accident. Great value, beautiful food and a lovely proprietor. No English spoken, but with some enthusiasm and a willingness to jump in the deep end I ended up with a great meal. Don't be afraid to ask for hot curry as it's pretty mild.
View on GoogleThe exterior looked like it was hard to enter, but I gathered courage and went in! It was delicious✨ I had the salt fried chicken curry! The fried chicken was tender, juicy and excellent✨ I was given iced coffee on the house! It seems to be roasted from beans at the Ikeda Station shopping street, and it had an elegant deliciousness! The oyaji from Kagoshima was kind and a nice person✨
View on GoogleA moody, particular curry shop. At first glance it looked like a difficult shop to enter, but the master welcomes you kindly. I had the katsu curry, the katsu is fried on the spot, drained of oil and served in the most delicious state at that moment. After lunch, the complimentary iced coffee is also very delicious! High cost performance, and I will definitely repeat when I drop by nearby.
View on GoogleI ordered the slightly spicy katsu curry, but it feels more bitter than spicy. As the shop name suggests, it was run by an old man alone. The shop is narrow and gets packed like sushi with a max of 6 people. I felt like the iced coffee on the house was a good deal. It didn't seem to have a dedicated parking lot.
