Ordered the tempura udon set with rice—excellent portion size and delicious flavor! The staff were friendly and welcoming. The washroom was a unique surprise, featuring a creative kettle-style tap. A must-visit spot when exploring the Cup Museum!
View on GoogleIf you are visiting the Cup Noodles Museum, and you're using Ikeda train/subway station to do so, I recommend this spot for an excellent Japanese lunch. If you are daunted, don't worry. They have an English menu; and the staff is very friendly and our server spoke a little English. The English menu gives pictorials of a cow (beef), fish, a pig (pork), wheat, etc. - and then each menu choice includes what items it contains. So if you don't eat meat, you can get a bowl of noodles that suits your needs. It's more user-friendly than 99% of the restaurants in Japan in that regard. It's a noodles place, with udon or soba, and most of them are served in a soupy base. You can get meal sets, as well, which comes with some sides. It's easy to get there, and about a 5-8 minute walk from the station. Go to the other side of the station opposite of your route to the Cup Noodles Museum, cross the main street, and go toward the left where you will find a covered shopping street called Sakaemachi. On the second section is this restaurant. (Oh, and it's very reasonably priced, one might even say cheap)
