Lovely very authentic Japanese restaurant in a traditional (maybe 90 year old) Japanese house, converted to the restaurant in the last 10 years, but retains the original woodwork, rooms etc. Beautiful garden, lovely selection of food.

Wonderful traditional Japanese experience. This is an old mansion that has been turned into a restaurant. This is a shoes-off establishment and you're given a locker for your outside shoes. You're then given your own private room where you have a view of the garden. The ambience is very peaceful. The hostess/waitress is very polite and kind. The food was very good and the overall bill was quite reasonable. Would recommend this place to others.

I couldn't recommend this place more. it was a room with only one other table, clean with a nice garden view through the window. the price is also amazing. it's atmosphere is perfect for a semi-formal dinner date. the staff are extremely polite! it was the best experience I've had at a restaurant yet.

Could not believe this amazing traditional Japanese mansion was Ganko, the popular chain of Japanese cuisine. Reasonable price, good quality food, friendly service. The mansion was built about 120 years ago, beautiful garden to look out from tables by the window.

I can't think of any reason why anyone would not like this place. The place is lovely and relaxing. The food is good and price is reasonable. I love coming here. We went there few days ago and the place was not so full. The lady who sat us down transferred us to the table with a view. So nice of her!
