Famous udon restaurant in ibaraki market. Known as "standing udon" since it has no chair in the restaurant. The restaurant itself is small, however it is always crowded in the noon especially when at lunch time. Located near Ibaraki-shi train station of hankyu make it easy to find.
View on GoogleThe best traditional Udon on-the-go shop I have visited. Tasty, cheap and the family in charge is very kind.
View on GoogleThis is a very traditional soba, and udon restaurant. It’s quite famous for making very delicious food. I highly recommend visiting this shop. It’s very close to Hankyu Ibaraki station.
View on GoogleStanding udon and soba beloved by locals As you enter the shopping street, you will see it on the right-hand corner A shop that has probably been supporting the locals for a long time I went in just past noon, and people kept coming and going in rotation What I ordered was: Tempura Udon (Shrimp Tempura) Additional Shrimp Tempura Double Tempura Udon ¥600 Delicious! Nostalgic! First time trying it, but it tastes similar to what I used to eat during my student days A taste that somehow supports you Left the shop savoring the nostalgic flavor Many locals were also ordering takeout A standing udon supported by everyone It will probably evoke a good atmosphere tomorrow as well
View on GoogleInside the light-colored, golden-shining broth with a rich dashi flavor, the star of the show—the noodles—are thin, smooth, and soft, filling your mouth with a somewhat nostalgic and satisfying happiness. When I happened to pass by on a Saturday, it was 1:30 PM and there was a line of over 10 people. At 3 PM, it still felt pretty much full. A reliable local udon shop whose taste hasn't changed in 30 years. A Kansai-style udon shop. Once you eat it, for some reason you'll want to go back and eat it again! When former Prime Minister Ishiba was giving a speech in front of Onikuru in Ibaraki City, he even used Tatsumiya's udon as a keyword to capture the hearts of Ibaraki citizens! The shop involves ducking through the noren curtain to eat while standing at the counter, or just tables with no chairs where you lean in to eat. It's not a place to relax and eat, but it's an ally of the common people! Tempura udon is recommended!
