Location is not a well known tourist spot, it’s yet to be discovered. Sushi master was friendly and female server is accommodating, even though they do not know much English, they still use Google translate to have some small chat with us to keep us accompanied while waiting for sushi. Food was good too, some of the best tuna and kinki I’ve ever tried, their quality are very close to those JPY30000 Tokyo restaurants, will definitely come back!

I was wondering if there were any good sushi restaurants and happened to find this one on the map. So I went to check it out. Google Maps links to Instagram, but if you think the Instagram posts belong to the owner, you are completely mistaken. It might be better to delete it since it's confusing... It seems reservations are accepted by phone outside of business hours. I thought I had to call during business hours, but it didn't go through, so I asked about it after arriving at the restaurant. I ended up making a reservation through a site called AutoReserve that comes up when searching the internet, but it seems that is also possible. The restaurant only opens all at once at 6:00 PM. Although it was a weekday, all 8 seats were full. Since there is no music, it feels quiet and the food is served matter-of-factly. Everything was delicious, but it seemed like the counter was a bit out of reach so sometimes we had to stretch our arms to grab the food ourselves. The chef hardly speaks, so if the customers are quiet, the restaurant seems like it would stay almost silent from start to finish. The staff included the female owner and another person who looked like an apprentice. While you can find this in Osaka city, I think this quality around Ibaraki is quite something. However, the service could use some improvement. Drinks are also cheap, so the cost-performance is not bad. I plan to repeat if I feel like eating sushi again.

I heard there was good sushi in Ibaraki and came to try it. Entering starting all at once from 6:00 PM, the restaurant has 8 counter seats and 4 table seats. The course is very generous with 6 appetizers followed by 10 pieces of sushi, priced at ¥17,600 (tax included) which offers good value. The sushi rice is slightly larger, and the vinegar is changed depending on the topping. Both the appetizers and sushi were delicious, but what I liked among the appetizers was the hamo (conger eel) sashimi, and among the sushi were the striped shrimp (shima ebi), surf clam (torigai), conger eel (anago), and the additional horse mackerel (aji). The course portion was large this time so I only added aji, but there were various other additional toppings. Taste-wise I am satisfied, but what bothered me was the position of the counter seats and where the sushi is placed. It was a bit far and high, making it hard to reach.

Visited in July 2024 I haven't eaten out in Ibaraki, but a restaurant introduced by an acquaintance as a must-visit. Course 15k + drinks This level at this price range is amazing. Everything you eat is delicious. Impressed right from the appetizers. The combination of blanched conger eel and cheese is a first in my life. It's exquisite. It was also my first time eating bonito tataki with mustard. This is also delicious. The sushi uses red vinegar just to my liking. The toppings are also of high quality. The chef carefully explains each and every dish. His stance making sushi right in front of you is also cool. I think it will become hard to make reservations soon. A famous restaurant that I've decided to revisit soon!!

Both the à la carte dishes and sushi were delicious ☺ They make the sushi right in front of you ✨ It's a hard-to-book restaurant, but there happened to be a cancellation so I was able to go ✨ The seats were also spacious and relaxed, allowing us to enjoy our meal comfortably ☺
