Love the udon noodles here! We are glad that we stopped by while on our way to AEON next door. Taste great and good value. There are no menu in English but photos are available. The staff here are very helpful and friendly. A self service restaurant with free flow tea. You may want to try out their tempura as well. Overall we enjoyed our dining experience here. Worth trying out if you are in the area.

This is a soba noodle chain store often seen in Suita and Ibaraki cities. Well... I wonder if you get full if you order a large portion... Anyway, at the regular price the portion was so small that I couldn't fill my stomach. In the end, I felt satisfied by drinking water, which is healthy if you call it that. Next time I'd like to try ordering a large portion to see if I'm satisfied. The noodles themselves are quite thin and firm. As a soba lover I visit various places, but this isn't authentic soba like that, though it's delicious soba when you add wasabi. It's close to the feeling of Dongbei soba made with higher quality into actual soba. Compared to cheap soba noodles sold at supermarkets and such, it's incomparably more delicious. The fried foods didn't feel voluminous and weren't particularly memorable. At this price, an udon chain that heavily advertises on TV might give you higher satisfaction for the same price in terms of udon quantity and tempura size. When you want good soba, it's probably good and delicious if you go with the mindset of not being stingy and paying around 1000 yen. It's next to Ibaraki Aeon, but anyway the parking lot is large, so it might be good for busy businessmen passing by by car, or those who come by car and want to eat something light.

Taiko-tei seems to have many branches centered around Osaka. There isn't one near my house, so I've been curious about it for a while. A self-service soba style is rare. Since it was my first time, I had their specialty "Niku Mori Soba" (Meat Pile Soba). It's a tsukemen (dipping noodles) style. My impression in one word is "Delicious ‼️" I wondered if it was okay to put chili oil in the tsukemen broth, but when I ate it, it was quite good. The spicy flavor of the green onions mixes with the soba, and when dipped in the broth with chili oil, it has a slight kick and is delicious 😋 After having about 3 bites in this pattern, I added the egg. The flavor became a bit milder, and this taste change was delicious too. I liked it. I'd like to visit again if I have the opportunity. It's a pity there isn't one near my house 💦

There are many self-service udon chains, but self-service soba restaurants are rare so I'm grateful. The parking lot is quite large. The taste is better than eating at a poor soba restaurant. Water, soba tea, broth, and soba water are all self-service. It was next to the condiments by the cash register. The price is reasonable and the preparation is fast, so it's good for a busy lunch. However, the tempura depends on luck; sometimes time has passed since frying and the batter has become hard. This time was a miss and the batter was rock-hard. You can also order via deliveries like Uber Eats or Demae-can.

May 24, 2022, around 9:00 PM... Coming home from work, I want to eat at a restaurant, but I definitely want to drink alcohol at night. Risks that cannot be avoided as long as I commute to work by car are attached. Taiko-tei also has a branch in Takatsuki City, and I've been there many times, so the taste is already evaluated. The udon genre is famous under another name as Konpira Seimen's kamage udon. It is an udon and soba chain headquartered in Hyogo Prefecture. Although it is like a self-service family restaurant for noodles, I can give high praise to the fact that they compete at a level that doesn't lose to Marugame Seimen in any way. This time, mentioning that I had Juhowari soba at home and didn't want to eat soggy takeout soba, I told the staff. I requested only the tempura that accompanies the soba as takeout. What I absolutely cannot miss is the large conger eel tempura. What I bought were two large conger eel tempura, one squid tempura, a red pickled ginger tempura, and two inari sushi. No, no, everything you eat is delicious. Even though it's a soba restaurant, this time the soba at home is a different 100% buckwheat soba. Well, maybe Taiko-tei's soba would have been better. Regardless of the buckwheat flour ratio, it's a restaurant you can call normally delicious. Store-bought 100% buckwheat soba still has a bad texture. The staff are also kind. There are no particular problems with the packaging for takeout. Just one thing that bothered me was that I was told to write on the takeout form. Since large conger eel tempura was not listed on the form, when I asked the staff... They said to choose whatever I like just like when eating in the store... If so, the takeout form is meaningless. I will just say that the headquarters should review appropriate methods that do not confuse customers. Author: Chef Shaka
