It's at the corner of the AEON. Well done, AEON! The following is quoted from Ibaraki City materials The Mure site was discovered in Showa 60 during the survey for the JUSCO Shin-Ibaraki store in Nakatsu-chō. Because a natural watercourse with a weir accompanied by Final Jōmon tottaimon (raised-band) pottery was detected, it is an important site for considering the spread of paddy rice farming culture in the Settsu region. Later surveys of the surrounding area detected medieval to early modern paddy surfaces, Early Yayoi watercourses, and a deposit layer presumed to be an Early Yayoi paddy surface. In a series of surveys in fiscal Heisei 13, two paddy surfaces from the 13th century and around the 11th century were confirmed at the survey site north of Nakatsu Elementary School, and a connection with the settlement of the Mizokui site to the east was pointed out, revealing part of a medieval settlement. Likewise, at the survey site northeast of where the site was discovered, features from the Early Yayoi period, the very beginning of the Early Kofun period, and the Late Kofun period, as well as medieval and early modern paddy surfaces, were detected, and Final Jōmon pottery—the first since the site's discovery—was excavated from a depression together with Early Yayoi artifacts.
