Delicious food and excellent service. The place is owned by a couple who cook and serve you attentively. They prepare a custom menu for you and they write it by hand in Japanese calligrapraphy. With seasonal ingredients locally sourced, really good quality. The experience is truly worth the visit if you are near Osaka or Kyoto.

Beautifully presented and incredibly delicious dishes – with a menu made to order depending on your preferences – consisting of locally sourced seasonal ingredients. If you’re ever close to Kyoto or Osaka and you’re looking for a unique dining experience for a reasonable price – this is the restaurant for you!

A small gem in Ibaraki. Elaborated course for roughly 30E, 60E and 90Euros (June 2024). Degustation of the local produce. Easy ZEN feel. Clean and bright. Attentive yet non-pretentious staff. Highly recommended.

Walk about 200m along the railway tracks from the south side west exit of Hankyu Ibaraki-shi Station, and you will arrive at "Kigokoro Hiro". Once a month on the 17th (dates reportedly shift if it falls on a Sunday) from 12 PM, you can enjoy shrimp tendon for lunch. It's delicious, so it's recommended. This month, there was additionally a sansho curry lunch starting from 12 PM on the 21st. Apparently, it's only available a limited number of times a year. The sansho used is Yamatsu Tsujita's Yamaasakura. The tingling sansho punch makes it delicious as well.

Used this for a dining gathering of 5 bosses and colleagues from work. We had a private table room, which was just the right size—keeping a moderate distance while allowing conversations to be heard clearly. Following the menu written in masterful calligraphy, the landlady and the master took turns bringing out the dishes and explaining them carefully. Using plenty of local ingredients, every single dish was delicious. Curious about the raw ham leg that stood out with a strong presence at the counter, I ordered raw ham à la carte. Eaten with strawberries from Ibaraki, this was also exquisite✨ Honestly, the saltiness is quite strong. But when eaten together with the sweet strawberries, it creates an indescribable marriage of flavors in your mouth 🥰 Hands down, it's the number one raw ham I've ever eaten. Despite getting a bit heated and noisy talking about work, they saw us off with a smile. Yet another favorite shop has been added to my list 😊
