A delicious meal of okinomiyaki and beer. Clean, comfortable, and great owners who are welcoming and friendly. We left full and happy.

Great food and very friendly owners. 10/10

Amazing okinomiyaki

Easily my favorite place in Hirakata and likely all of Japan. The food is always superb. Kota makes excellent Okonomiyaki and Yakisoba, while Ena experiments with a variety of rotating menu items. The owners are very warm, inviting, and very funny. The regulars are as well, and it’s always a good time. They also have a karaoke setup that they use pretty frequently (the owners have amazing voices)! English menus are available and Ena-san speaks excellent English if you are nervous about walking into a brand new space. Kota’s English is improving too 😉 They go well out of their way to make their regulars comfortable, while embracing newcomers. I went there once a week as a visiting professor, and I just think the world of them. I would encourage anyone to visit this place. KGU faculty, staff, and students should consider Urara as a regular spot during their stay. I would rate it higher than 5 stars if I could.
