Easily became a favorite of mine as an international student at KGU. The value for price is unbeatable and the food is always delicious. The owners are kind and I love the environment here. Perfect for a quiet solo meal or all your friends! I was already half through my meal before i got the photo

Looking back on my time as a ryugakusei at Kansai Gaidai, this was one of the more memorable restaurants. The staff dealt with our rowdy group of foreigners like champions. We tended to go as a group for the all you can eat menu which included a few different types of meat for yakiniku and a variety of appetizers. If I remember correctly, it was $3500 yen for an hour and a half in 2014. Not sure if that is a current price. Students with no Japanese may want to avoid going alone, the majority of the menus were entirely in Japanese. I recommend making friends with Japanese students quickly to be able to go out and enjoy Japan to its fullest, or start with another international student who has an intermediate level of Japanese language ability. Pretty sure only the appetizer menu had photos of the items. Cash is the best option for payment at this store. 7-11 is not too distant if you need access to an ATM if the Kansai Gaidai one is closed. We always parked our bikes out the front on the sidewalk and had no issues with anyone tampering them.

As a Kansai Gaidai international Alumnus, this place has got to be my favorite Karaage place in all of Japan. Sure, there are probably other places with really good karaage, but I haven't been there yet. This place might be known for something else like yakiniku, but hands down, if I were to die, the karaage teishoku here would be my last meal, no joke. It has just the right texture, juiciness, and crispiness. The portions are absolutely huge, and the quality exceeds the price. After I left Japan, I haven't found a place like this. Great service, same great quality. Interior is spacious, and it also seems to be for yakiniku lol.

Yakiniku restaurant located near Kansai Gaidai in Nakamiya-Honmachi, Hirakata City, along Prefectural Route 144 (Sugitaguchi Kinnen Line). A shop run by a couple, and since it's right in front of the university, it's not a stiff yakiniku restaurant, but a wallet-friendly shop with karaage set meals and katsu curry under 1000 yen. Stopped by during weekday lunchtime Ordered charcoal-grilled yakiniku set 1350 yen (skirt steak) plus short ribs 958 yen. First, the white rice is delicious. Freshly cooked, piping hot rice that is personally my favorite kind of rice. When I asked the wife, she said it was gas-cooked and used Koshihikari rice from Mie Prefecture. I think shops that have good rice are usually gas-cooked. The meat is grilled in a charcoal shichirin net grilling style right in front of you, so the fat of the meat drips well. The meat itself is standardly delicious. There is a sense of satisfaction because of the volume compared to the price 90-minute yakiniku all-you-can-eat 3960 yen (free for under elementary school, elementary school children 1980 yen, over 65 years old 3410 yen) is low barrier. Seems like a convenient yakiniku restaurant

Visited around 19:00 on a weekday. Ordered: ・Yakiniku all-you-can-eat 2980 yen 90-minute all-you-can-eat system where a platter of meat is served first, and from there you make additional orders as needed. Net replacement can be handled for 100 yen per time. Types of meat include tongue, skirt steak, loin, etc., as well as offal, grilled vegetables, soup, and rice. It is grilled by yourself in a shichirin, so it cooks thoroughly, and while the meat quality has nothing special to note, it is fully satisfying. Thank you for the meal.
