70 seconds walk from Keihan Main Line Makino Station! Please savor the "Tomato Cream Ramen" introduced in media such as "Yo-I Don!" and the ramen shop's serious dessert "Gokumi Brulee."

[Tomato Cream Ramen] An Italian-style bowl 🍜 spreading the umami of tomatoes possessing sweetness and acidity based on a chicken animal-derived stock Enjoying the periphery before mixing while leaving the fresh cream in the center as it is, the refreshing flavor and taste of basil oil (?) combined with the tomato umami merged with the chicken soup, finishing into a soup with a slight acidity 🍅 If you melt and blend the fresh cream in the center from halfway through, it harmonizes with the acidity and changes to a soft taste. It became an easy-to-drink soup. The noodles are a low-hydration thin straight type with a crisp snap sensation, close to pasta texture 🤗 Slurping it enters the mouth stereoscopically, making you feel every single strand 😆

Visited a few years ago. The shop is immediately from Keihan Makino Station. I think it's easy if you use the train. The chashu ramen, with its impactful appearance, is super powerful. Didn't it become famous because of this menu item? Naturally, the price is accordingly, but the taste is good and I feel it's reasonable. I remember that ramen using bonito tatami (seared bonito) was also available depending on the season. Most menu items taste good. For some reason, they seem to put effort into sweets too, but since I'm bad with sweets, I have zero personal interest 🤔 It's a ramen shop I quite like, but since it's hard to get to from my home, I don't go that often. I wish it was a little closer...

Lunch on this day was at Makino, Hirakata City, "Ramen Kaika." Had the "Large" size of the limited menu item "Seafood Shoyu Ramen Kohaku" at the ramen shop "Ramen Kaika," located a short way north from the east rotary of Keihan Makino Station. "Ramen Kaika" is a ramen shop founded in 2016. It seems to be read as "Kaihou" despite being written as "Kaika." Well, As for the "Seafood Shoyu Ramen Kohaku," It was introduced on the menu as, "Based on light soy sauce, blended with shijimi clam-loaded shoyu tare and flying fish (ago), niboshi, etc. A 100% seafood soup combined with low-hydration noodles, An elegant bowl we want seafood lovers to eat." It seems to be the default "Shoyu Ramen" of "Ramen Kaika" originally. Soon, the "Seafood Shoyu Ramen Kohaku" appeared. The noodles are thin, straight noodles. The soup is a shoyu soup combining a 100% seafood soup with a shoyu sauce using shijimi clams. On top of the noodles were 2 slices of chashu, kaiware sprouts, finely chopped green onions,穂先メンマ (ho-saki menma), and a flower-shaped fu. The amber-colored transparent soup, which is 100% seafood, felt amazing. It turned out to be light yet extremely deep-tasting ramen. Seafood Shoyu Ramen Kohaku was ridiculously delicious ~~

Got to have the final day's 'Hokkaido Fresh Octopus Cold Ramen 🍜' and 'Melon Pudding a la Mode 🍮' on 2025/07/22. The ramen had a cold, dashi-infused soup that seeped into my sweaty body, and the saltiness was spot on. The octopus was tender and umami-rich, making me wish for an 'extra octopus' option just like with the bonito. Celery and sudachi as toppings are top-notch too. Also, the 'Melon Pudding a la Mode 🍮' requested for dessert gave a supreme moment as the deliciousness of the melon, fresh cream, melon syrup, and pudding mixed inextricably in the mouth. It was seriously delicious. Thank you for the meal 😋 ―――――――――――――――――――――― Got to have today's starting limited noodles for 2025, 'Cold ~Makino Bonito~'. Since it's the 8th year, it seems to be an early summer staple. Ordered the regular 'Cold ~Makino Bonito~' with 'Extra Bonito' and small rice, while my wife who went with me got the 'Tomato Cream Ramen, Cheese Rice Set'. Just past 12 PM on a weekday, there were 2 people waiting, but because the turnover is good, we were able to sit in about 5 minutes. Bowls served about 8 minutes after sitting, surprised by the overwhelming visual of the extra bonito, let's dig in 🥢 The soup is a transparent seafood-based deep-tasting soup, so delicious you could drink just this. White soy sauce also works, and even cold it has a solid flavor. Noodles are medium-thick straight maybe, tangling well into the cold soup, slurping smoothly. So, the main (?) 'Bonito' of the day, because I ordered extra, I could fully savor it. Also, there is absolutely no fishy odor, and eating it together with the dashi is exceptional. Also, putting bonito on the rice and pouring soup over it turns it into a leading-role class 'Bonito Dashi Chazuke' rather than just a finishing dish. To add, the 'Garlic Wasabi' that came on a separate plate did a great job. The deliciousness makes you want to go eat it again. Also, my wife said the 'Tomato Cream Ramen' was dangerously delicious, and the cheese rice was spot on too. Yeah, I thought I must go eat it again soon. Thank you for the meal 😋 ―――――――――――――――――――――― Went to eat the limited 'Yamakake Ramen' available from 2025/5/8 (Thu) to 13 (Tue) because I was curious. Both the exterior and the interior give the impression that it's a bit hard to tell it's a ramen shop, but it was properly a ramen shop (lol). Also, close to the station, but maybe due to the early afternoon weekday rainy weather, customers were few and I could sit directly at the counter. Bowls served in about 5 minutes. The visual of yamakake (grated yam) and shredded nori toppings is quite rarely seen in ramen. Also, having kakuni (braised pork belly) instead of chashu riding on top is interesting. The soup seems to be based on shoyu ramen, but combined with the yamakake, it balances out nicely. The noodles seem to be medium-thin straight, slurping smoothly tangling with the yamakake soup. However, disposable chopsticks are essential. The noodles are slippery (lol). The kakuni is also flavorful, delicious enough to make you want to ask if there's an extra option. Finally, putting the remaining yamakake soup and raw egg over rice makes for a perfect finish. Next time I'd like to try the staple 'Umami Shoyu Ramen' and popular sweets too. Thank you for the meal 😋
