The zaru soba is exceptionally delicious, and the tempura and side dishes have a nostalgic, gentle taste. The portions are generous too! An old-school shop bustling with regulars and office workers coming for lunch! Found out about it recently but it's completely become a favorite. I think it's a shop loved by the local community for a long time. It's an old shop. People who are overly fussy about hygiene or worry too much about it should just stick to chain restaurants. On New Year's Eve, it was packed with regular customers and locals who decided that eating New Year's Eve soba here is a must every year.
View on GoogleCozy place 🙆♀️ If you make it a set meal, the portions are quite substantial and make your stomach hurt 👍 Roll sushi is delicious, but nigiri sushi is, hmm, just so-so.
View on GoogleVoluminous and cheap! ◎ When I ordered the "Oroshi Udon (Cold)", I was surprised that it came with plenty of vegetables, a boiled egg, and even a shrimp tempura (laughs) By the way, the noodles are thin, so people who like Sanuki udon or thick noodles might not like it... I don't think the hot udon was this thin. The price was under 700 yen. Glad there are lots of menu options for both soba and udon ☺︎
View on GoogleIt has the atmosphere of a neighborhood cafeteria, but it's reasonably priced and tastes normally good. I felt like a lot of the customers were regulars. I liked the atmosphere where you wouldn't feel awkward even if you just dropped by casually.
View on GoogleWent there believing the 3.9 rating, and it was terrible. If the food just tasted bad it might be one thing, but I'm full of anxiety about hygiene. The side dishes for the set meal were clearly pre-made items of unknown origin. The tempura was probably fried on the spot, but it was soggy and greasy. The tea somehow tasted slightly sour. The soba, which should be their main selling point, had no distinguishing features at all, no different from the 30-yen soba sold at supermarkets, with zero soba aroma. The service was also rough, and the tray placement was sloppy, causing a lot of soy sauce to spill from the small soy sauce dish. If I were less careful, it could have gotten on my clothes. I felt so sick and wanted to get out as fast as possible. After eating, my chest felt sick and I felt unwell for a while. It's at a level where I wonder how a store like this can stay in business. They'll probably cause food poisoning someday.
