Went there as an international student and the people there, both customers and workers were the kindest people ever. They were super supportive and helpful with helping me speak the little Japanese I knew. Could not recommend this place more!

Showa diner It has a really good atmosphere. There are set menus starting from 550 yen. There are so many set menus that you get confused about what to eat. I ordered the A set and daily bento. The A set is tonkatsu and ham and egg. The daily bento is chicken tender fry, tonpeiyaki, and sunomono with miso soup changed to soba You can enjoy various side dishes and the portion is filling. Parking is across the road in front of the store. The freshly cooked rice was really delicious.

2 minutes walk from Kansai Gaidai ♪ An old-fashioned public cafeteria "Kikutake" for students. However, because there are many female students at Gaidai, no students came while eating. Local customers were prominent inside the store. The inside of the store is non-smoking. Maybe because I came 1 hour before lunchtime ended, most of the a la carte side dishes were sold out.
