staying in Japan, on vacation or anything..must come here. Excellent and delicious food, beautifully presented in an updated yet traditional cousin. All crab dishes, and all dishes delicious AF!!!. Some things were just out of the world than others, but nothing were less in taste. The Grilled king crab and the crab sushi were the best. Come here if you are near.

Hirakata City Along Route 1 (the side heading toward Hirakata) Freshly caught, lively-fresh crab dishes〜🦀🦀 A theme song everyone has surely heard at least 1 time🤣 You can eat delicious crab🦀 in Hirakata without going to Fukui or Hyogo Prefecture‼️ Yes, that's Kani Doraku🦀😃 It used to be really cheap, and you could eat lots of crab🦀, so I often came with my parents and family‼️ With rising prices, the cost gradually went up and the portions went down… I don't come as often as I used to now😅 But sometimes I still crave it, so I drop in occasionally as a little treat day☺️ Lunch options start at reasonable prices〜 But unless you choose a lunch at a certain price level, you might not really feel like you've eaten much crab🦀😂 You can usually get in without much trouble just after opening on weekdays without a reservation, but I booked ahead when I went with my mother and a friend😃 Both have trouble with their legs, so I wrote that we'd prefer table seating, and they properly showed us to a table in a private room😃 The two of them had kani sushi tempura gozen urara (¥4620 excluding tax), and I had kani suki gozen tsudoi (¥5830 excluding tax)😃 The tempura and sushi in their sets looked delicious😋 Mine came with kani suki and grilled crab🦀. The meat came away easily, so it was easy to eat and delicious😋 A decent amount of crab🦀, delicious, and I was very satisfied🥰 When we came to celebrate my partner's recovery, we had the limited-time tokujo kani tenju at my partner's request (¥3960 including tax). The portion was enormous, with a real wow-factor presentation🙌 But… Maybe because we're not young anymore…⁉️ The tempura felt a little heavy on the stomach as we ate😅 Also, the accompanying akadashi soup? had an extremely strong flavor💦 The regular lunch course might be better after all😅 Oh, the à la carte Doraku kani cream croquettes🦀 are consistently delicious😋 On weekdays, you can get in without waiting even without a reservation, and it seems useful for all sorts of occasions, like lunch gatherings and celebrations👍 There are plenty of seats, and large groups can use it too😃 They also properly accommodate elderly people and those with weak legs or backs🙌 Also, many of the staff working here are thoughtful and friendly😃 They have a knack for skillfully recommending dishes like savvy salespeople😁 Bringing a wet towel and lemon🍋 after the meal earns extra points too👍 They used to have coffee, but no longer do. My mother and her friends like coffee after a meal, so they were disappointed😅

Made a reservation and visited on Saturday afternoon. You have to take your shoes off to enter, so I'd recommend shoes that are easy to put on and take off. Chose one of the cheaper options from the sashimi promotion. Every dish was delicious. My companion wasn't interested in kamameshi, so had it changed to sushi. I thought payment was cash or credit card only, but QR code payment was also accepted, so I paid that way.

Visited for the first time the restaurant with that “commercial song” I've known for as long as I can remember. Stepping inside, the hall was so spacious I wondered if it was a ryokan. Staff in Japanese attire welcomed me and showed me to an equally spacious private room overlooking a Japanese garden. For someone who'd never had anything to do with crab specialty restaurants, being served the “kani kaiseki” course felt like a dream. The “kani zukuri,” “kani gratin,” and “kani kamameshi” were especially delicious. At the end, I additionally ordered “kani nigiri sushi” and “kani futomaki.” Without any flattery, I wanted to come back and eat here again.

Visited for a birthday celebration. The food was delicious, of course, and all the staff were courteous, making it a very pleasant experience. Thank you for a wonderful time. I'd definitely like to visit again.
