Old-school dining hall Went to meal spot Kamechan in Hirakata, Osaka 😋 A Showa-era dining hall loved for many years ✨ Both the exterior and interior have a Showa-era vibe that is soothing 🥰 The daily special starts from 850 yen, and at night it's an izakaya with an extensive menu ✨ Went there for lunch this time 🍽️ ❤️ Katsutoji set meal 1100 yen Piping hot katsutoji soaked in broth was super delicious 😋💕 Comes with rice, miso soup, side dish, pickles ✨ ❤️ Grilled fish set meal 850 yen Today's daily special is horse mackerel 🐟 A set meal gentle on the body and wallet ✨ ❤️ Fried chicken Soft and fluffy fried chicken 😋 Comes with potato salad and is delicious 🥔 Set meals, rice bowls, soba, udon, etc. Overflowing with menu items you want to eat 💕 Going back again ~ ❤️

The interior is quite cramped, but there are about 6 tables for 4 people and also a counter. I had the katsu-toji set meal, but almost everyone was ordering the sashimi set meal, so I plan to get the sashimi set meal next time. The price was reasonable despite the current inflation, which was great. It's a good restaurant that only locals know about. However, since it's an old-school izakaya, it's not suitable for a date. I recommend going with coworkers, etc.

Kamechan-san" I've been curious about it for quite a long time, but I finally went inside for the first time (lol) Ordered the daily set meal You could choose between tempura and grilled fish, and I chose tempura It's delicious, but it felt quite like a place for regulars so the atmosphere wasn't very comfortable for me The staff move according to the owner's (daisho) instructions, but it didn't seem quite in sync or maybe the prep was poor, it felt like it took unusually long to be served Still, since I went once, it's not quite to the point of "I'm good, never again?" I might drop by again when I remember it Thank you for the meal ✨

I had the daily katsu-toji set meal, and it was delicious. The side dishes were also good, and the miso soup contained nameko mushrooms, a clever little touch that makes me happy. The price is also reasonable.

Entered the shop around 12:20 on a weekday. Ordered the sashimi set meal 1200 yen, tempura set meal 1150 yen. The owner said, "Tempura takes time though," and I agreed. The inside of the shop is very crowded, And the "katsu curry" dishes for about 4 groups that came after us were served first. Moreover, some groups that came after us had already finished eating and were paying their bill. The sashimi set came around 12:40, and the tempura set came around 50. Whether out of consideration from the female staff member, she replaced the white rice of the sashimi set meal with a new one, which was nice. Also, the side dishes and the set meals were very delicious. When ordering the tempura set meal, depending on how crowded it is, you will wait more than 30 minutes. It is likely put on the back burner. It might be okay for people who can wait patiently. I thought the tempura set probably didn't have preparations like battering and such done ahead.
