There is a crowd here for a reason, ok maybe two if you count the slow wait. The food is super cheap, good portions, and decent quality. I ordered the Large, extra portion Chicken Salt Lemon Bowl for 800¥ and a side of six (6!!) pieces of Karaage for only 450¥. The chicken was tender and light, with layer of scrambled egg underneath. I wished for a little more lemon, but it was tasty nonetheless. The chicken was a bit overbreaded, but still juicy and tender, with a side of salt and pepper. There are a lot of carry-out shops near busy districts like this one all over Japan, not to diminish this place. This was the only one that took unexpectedly long. You can eat at the mostly outdoor tables next to the restaurant, but I just took mine to go.

One of my favorite places to lunch around campus. Fast, cheap, and delicious. A bunch of different options starting around ¥500 so there's something for everyone.
