I sat at the counter, but the table seats were a bit more spacious and it was a relaxing restaurant. The 1000 yen (tax included) pork loin cutlet set meal was flawlessly delicious. Next, I'd like to try the meat and potato croquette.
View on GoogleWritten in October 2025. They used to be open at night too, but now they seem to only open for a few hours during lunchtime. Cash only. The sesame miso sauce set meal here is very delicious, and sometimes I get an irresistible craving for it. They also offer takeout, so I'd like to order some time. The inside of the restaurant is relatively quiet, allowing you to focus on your meal.
View on Google241122 (1st time) I went to "Katsukura," located about a 1-minute walk from the ticket gates of JR Kawachi-Eiwa Station. Previously, when I passed in front of the shop in the evening, it was closed and there was a notice stating it was only open for lunch. This kind of luck meant I was able to go during lunchtime at just the right timing. Well, on this day, I had the Pork Loin Cutlet Set. Considering the price, the amount of meat was plenty and it was delicious (great value for money). I especially liked the taste of the fat. On the other hand, the miso soup and pickles felt a bit plain. Personally, I'd be happy if they could provide some nice salt. Thank you for the meal~
View on GoogleTonkatsu restaurant in front of Kintetsu & JR Kawachi-Eiwa Station. Stopped by during weekday lunchtime. Previously, smoking was allowed at all seats even at lunchtime, but now it is non-smoking at noon. Ordered the Beef Cutlet Set (Fillet) for 1550 yen. The meat is so-so but the amount is small, the batter doesn't adhere to the meat at all and peels off constantly. The only good thing is that it comes with salt and sauce, but the ponzu sauce was pretty decent. Customer service from the floor staff is subtle. Probably at a level where an ordinary restaurant would give educational guidance. Hearing the casual conversation with the owner, it's likely his wife, but I wonder about leaving it alone.
View on GoogleI used it for lunch when I went nearby for work. When I read the user reviews, there was a comment saying, "I want you to make lunchtime non-smoking," so at first I thought about passing it up. However, when I went in front of the shop, there was a sign saying, "It will be completely non-smoking from July 1st." Well, I'm glad about this. And, I had the Katsukura set meal. It was a little crowded at lunchtime, but they didn't cram people in to share tables, and although I had to wait a bit, I was allowed to use a 4-person table by myself. The tonkatsu was crispy fried and delicious. Thanks to that, work from noon went smoothly. I will use it again when I go near there for work.
