Absolutely horrendous, we got scammed. We order number 1 but did not get that sushi. The service horrible, such rude attitude was given and making the experience a bad one. We got yelled at for queing at the wrong line, also the salmon was not fresh, it have that fishy smell that we all hated. We’ve expected this standard, as the place was in a station, but never have i expected it was this bad. So for the sake of your money, tastebuds, and mood, please NEVER GO HERE!

I visited here around the middle of last month. As my friend and I were walking and heading toward a lunch spot, we saw a menu board in front of Sushi Maru. Being indecisive, we stared at it for a while and after wavering endlessly, we heard warm and friendly chatting coming from inside, so we decided to enter Sushi Maru. It seems the restaurant is run by a family of three: the master chef, the mother, and the son. My memory is a bit hazy so I apologize if I'm wrong 😳💦 I feel like there was someone else too...?? 💦 At the counter were an elderly regular and a young boy who looked like his grandson. Initially, I was confused by the elderly regular who blended in so well I mistook him for a staff member, but as we chatted a bit, I became convinced he was just a customer (lol). The lunch menu displayed outside included chirashi sushi, seasonal sushi, standard sushi? for 1200 yen, and maybe one other dish... I'm really sorry for my hazy memory 💦 This time I had the 1200 yen standard sushi 😳 The standard sushi (named it myself 💦) came with something like an appetizer, sushi, and red miso soup. When I took a bite of the appetizer... it was a dish that makes you want a drink (lol). It's an accompaniment to alcohol! Resisting the strong urge to drink, I moved on to the sushi. Each and every piece was delicious ♪ The red miso soup is also nice ~ ☺️ As I was spending time leisurely, the elderly regular called out to me, "Well, go ahead and have a drink." Yielding to his kind words, I had a gin and tonic 😳 Their gin and tonic here is super delicious ✨ I was surprised that a sushi restaurant had a gin and tonic in the first place, and they brought the gin container out from the back. The name of that container was "KIKKA GIN Tuisou (Recollection) Stainless Bottle" Kikka Gin Recollection is a limited-edition gin that uses Japanese regional vegetables "small ginger," "Japanese pepper (sansho)," and "myoga ginger" in addition to the three types ("Yamato Tachibana," "Yamato Toki," and "juniper berries") used in regular Kikka Gin. Ginger, sansho pepper, and myoga are representative Japanese condiments indispensable to modern food culture. The alcohol content is 45% ↑ I copied and pasted this (lol) It's delicious so please try drinking it!! While drinking the gin and tonic, I additionally ordered an assorted tempura and squid gunkan. Tempura is also very delicious!! We took turns choosing using rock-paper-scissors (lol) I ended up ordering another gin and tonic on top of that 😳 While talking with the regular at the counter, I complained, "I can't pass my job interviews ~ 😞" and he comforted me by saying, "That's just luck," which warmed my heart. It made me feel like if it's luck, then it can't be helped. The regular left his seat and the restaurant first, but his words, "Come visit the shop again," made me feel the warmth of chivalry and human kindness♪ It's so stylish ~ ✨ The mother is elegant and beautiful, and it's a mystery where that "elegance" comes from even though we're the same human beings. I hope to remain beautiful like this even as I age ♪ Thank you also for bringing us the pickled Nara pickle! ✨ Was it smoked cheese Nara pickle? It had a subtle flavor of Nara pickles and was delicious ♪ The chewing sound of daikon radishes echoed inside the restaurant (lol) Delicious food, a restaurant that attends to your every need, and regular customers. It's the best! I was able to spend a relaxing and cozy moment. In one word: "Satisfaction" 😊

A relatively small-scale sushi restaurant. There are 2 sushi chefs, and side dishes like tempura are prepared by the wife (?) in the back kitchen, so dishes are served without stress. Payment accepts cash as well as PayPay. Parking lot available
