Cute cafe at wakaeiwata station

Had lunch at Paseo Cafe, right by Wakae-Iwata Station. This time I ordered from the lunch menu. The mains were a fluffy, runny omurice and a hamburg steak with demi-glace sauce. Both had the comforting taste of an old-school kissaten, with solid portions. They come with salad and soup too, so it's satisfying. And the biggest draw here is, without a doubt, the all-you-can-eat bread. You go and get the freshly baked bread lined up in the shop yourself, and there's a huge variety: danishes, savory breads, anko-filled, chocolate, and more. They're small-sized, so you can enjoy a little of lots of different kinds, which is a nice point. I couldn't help going back for more again and again. The interior is spacious and open, with a warm atmosphere bustling with locals. The perfect place for days when you want to eat your fill at a good price. I'd like to come back and enjoy the bread at a leisurely pace.

Lately I've often been going after finishing my morning shift. After the morning service until 11:30, it's 550 yen for your choice of bread and a drink. From 11:30 it's lunch, with a daily special and a few other options (pasta, hamburg steak, omurice, etc.), and all-you-can-eat mini bread. The hot coffee and bread here are delicious, so it's my current favorite.
