View on Google2025.1/10 (Fri) Since my errand finished just before noon, I decided to have lunch at a restaurant I've been curious about for years but never entered. Shokudo Mako. Since I was alone, I decided to eat at the counter wearing my coat. Everyone was eating ramen, so I thought it was popular and looked at the menu but there's no word ramen. When I asked the store owner, they said "Chuka soba". Also, there are many pre-made small side dishes, and the system is to pay for what you ate at checkout. Interesting! Moreover, those side dishes all look delicious 🤤 The first thing that jumped out at me was my favorite eggplant nimashise, so I chose that and ordered chuka soba. Chuka soba is 600 yen and eggplant nimashise is 250 yen, total 850 yen. Cheap!!!!! The eggplant nimashise was microwaved before eating! The taste is slightly strong, the type that makes you want rice. It was so delicious I hesitated whether to add a small bowl of rice. Home-style nostalgic deliciousness. And then, the chuka soba, as it looks, is completely different from the so-called chuka soba of a normal ramen shop or Chinese restaurant. It's a soup like champon! The dashi is soft, and it feels like vegetable dashi is coming out too. You can drink the soup alone endlessly! The noodles are straight medium-thick type without much firmness. The noodles when entangled with soup are also damn delicious! It was a personal big-hit ramen in a while that pierced my heart! I want to eat it again right away. But looking at the pictures again, aren't there many delicious things like dashimaki tamago and grilled fish! Decided to frequent this place 👍 By the way, the shop seems to be open continuously from 10 AM to 8 PM. Let's go with my husband at night next time ~♪ By the way, I'm not one to care much about going to a restaurant alone, but since I don't drink alcohol, I'm a bit hesitant about pubs. The restaurant I went to today is a public cafeteria that looks like it would appear in Solitary Gourmet, and I hesitated because I arbitrarily thought it was a type of bar that also serves lunch. But it wasn't. A completely healing popular cafeteria 👍
View on GoogleA shokudo located near Aramoto, Higashiosaka. Continuous business hours from 10 AM. Family-run, rustic, but full of Showa-era comforting shop. Although it has been around for quite some time, the inside is cleanly maintained. Menus range widely from okonomiyaki to udon and soba. Yakisoba and pork ginger stir-fry were quite delicious. Prices are reasonable and it's a convenient shop to use.
View on GoogleBeen curious for a while. Blue noren, Showa taste. Saturday lunch. Entered a little late at 1:30 PM. Parking space for 2-3 cars next to the store. Open the sash door and enter. Counter on the left, 4 tables on the right. 3 customers. Master gently introduced the menu. Ordered vegetable stir-fry and small rice. This vegetable stir-fry was correct. Somewhat nostalgic and finished in a flash. Confirmed a revisit. Curious about other menus... Master and landlady looked gentle. Left the shop in a good mood. Must go again w
View on GoogleChuka soba (600 yen) Rice (large) (230 yen) Curry rice (large) (600 yen) Rather than chuka soba, it had a lot of ingredients and tasted closer to champon. Curry rice was stewed quite a bit, so there was no texture of ingredients.
