Came for an early lunch? Late breakfast?. I have visited several times. There were 2 types of lunch menus, so I decided to choose from those. The 2 types change depending on the day of the week. Usually, tempted by free rice refills, I wolf down white rice, but since this is a rice bowl (donburi) this time, no refills... Kakiage (tempura fritter) with egg-bound donburi and zaru soba. The kakiage donburi had plenty of sauce and a slightly sweet seasoning. I like it whether it's sweet or not. The portion was a bit small, just right for my stomach this time The soba felt slightly larger in portion. It doesn't seem to be ni-hachi (20% wheat, 80% buckwheat) or ju-wari (100% buckwheat), but it was smooth and had a good texture. In front were a shop said to be the childhood home of a certain former professional baseball player and a utility pole I rebuilt during night shifts over 10 years ago.... Lol

View on GooglePurchased in advance at the ticket vending machine. I felt quite rushed because there were people coming after me. Cash only. There are 2 ticket machines, only one of which can take 10,000 yen and 5,000 yen bills, but I think the other one couldn't take large bills. My companion's udon didn't have much meat, so I gave them one slice. They said it was delicious. Rice refills are free. It's very clean and nice because you just press a button on a machine. I also ordered grilled mackerel a la carte. Satisfied to be able to eat both meat and fish. I thought it was convenient as they also have bento boxes. It was delicious.
View on GoogleOrdered Miso Katsu Teishoku and rolled omelet at the ticket machine. I was there for about an hour, but saw no signs of the ticket machine being sanitized. Rice and pickles free to refill, with rice available in 4 sizes chosen via a system: bite-size, small, medium, large. Only the large size was refilled, averaging 175g. The miso is delicious, but the tonkatsu batter was hard and hurt the inside of my mouth. Only soy sauce and sauce were on the table; it would have been nice if they also had mayonnaise, ketchup, or ponzu. Looking at surrounding customers, many guys left their pickles behind (especially couples). Even though refills are free, eating without leaving food behind is the bare minimum manner for customers.
