A ramen shop near Aramoto station, around one block away. With the quite flexible opening hours comes with a service caveat, so you might find yourself alone with your food only. The place is quite huge for a ramen shop, three tables and a dozen counter seats. There is a self-service area for ginger and stuff, but it looks it sat there the whole day so refrain from getting that. The chahan set is what you should get. The ramen even when basic on their price point has chicken, pork and beef at the same bowl. But the fried rice is the star I think.

You can enjoy delicious Shoyu ramen for less than 1000 yen at a popular ramen restaurant in Osaka.

Prices are high but it features fairly dynamic menus. Taste is delicious. The Chashu of meat soba was aromatic. The atmosphere felt like a hangout spot for regulars, and sitting in the middle of the counter meant food was served from next to me so I couldn't dine peacefully. Niboshi vinegar is rare. Garlic, spicy miso, and red pickled ginger are self-service. Leaving leftovers is not forgiven.

When I went to Higashiosaka, I stopped by "Chuka Soba Kyubei". Speaking of Higashiosaka, Takaiwa ramen is famous, but the sign on the front says 'Evolved Takaiwa Chuka Soba'. There is also salt chuka soba and mazesoba, making me curious about various things. Bought a meal ticket at the ticket vending machine at the entrance. Ordered Kyubei Soba (Evolved Takaiwa Chuka Soba with added boiled egg, chicken chashu, and pork chashu) and half fried rice. The ramen that came out had a strong impact with 2 large pork chashu and 2 chicken chashu slices. First, taking a sip of the soup, being an evolved version, perhaps without MSG, it's lighter than expected. Even though it's light, the umami slowly spreads. Since Takaiwa ramen has an image of being soy-sauce salty, this was a bit surprising. The noodles are smooth, medium-thin straight noodles. As for the chashu, both chicken and pork spread umami in your mouth when chewed and are delicious. Adding pepper midway gives it a little punch, good for a flavor change. There is also spicy miso, so adding it might be even better. The fried rice is well-seasoned, fluffy/dry (not soggy), and quite to my liking. I think some people might come just to eat this fried rice. Next time I'd like to try the mazesoba too.

Went to eat for the first time! Ate chuka soba ordered with half fried rice and it was delicious! Half fried rice was also? Just the right amount! Serving time was fast, perhaps because it was an uncrowded time before noon! Ordered via ticket vending machine and staff came to collect it! Went to eat at Kyubei head store for the first time in a while and it was delicious as expected. This time I got the karaage set and it was crispy fried and delicious! I was glad there was staff from the same prefecture and we could talk about ramen!
