The food is amazing here. 🥰
View on GoogleA kushikatsu specialty shop bustling with locals. It's a small shop with only about 10 counter seats, but the taste and value for money are the best! The master runs it alone, so food and alcohol may take a little while to come out. I recommend ordering a course and then adding skewers that aren't in the course. Whatever you eat, it's very satisfying. Smoking allowed Reservations required
View on GoogleI was brought to a cheap and tasty kushikatsu place in Fuse. There's everything from classic skewers to creative ones, and the courses come in 7, 10, and 15 skewers, so we started with 10. After that we added more while looking at the menu. It was delicious❤︎.* The master is a nice dad-type guy. The izakaya-like atmosphere of the shop is nice too. And I was surprised by the bill! We ate and drank quite a lot, but I think it was only around 6000 yen. Really cheap. A place I want to come back to.
View on GoogleKushikatsu Otani in Fuse, Higashi-Osaka, Osaka A kushikatsu shop in a quiet area northeast of Fuse Station, about a 5-minute walk from Fuse Station There's a stop system where kushikatsu keep coming until you're full and say stop, 10- and 15-skewer courses, and à la carte This day I chose the 10-skewer course for 2420 yen Salmon A big piece of salmon on homemade tartar sauce loaded with onions, topped with ikura — super yummy yummy yummy The light mayo tartar and the thick salmon go together perfectly, seriously delicious Having ikura on top made me so happy I could jump White fish wrapped in myoga Kushikatsu of white fish wrapped in myoga I'd never had kushikatsu with a combo like this The distinctive taste of myoga and the mild white fish go together, super yummy This skewer is delicious with salt Loin ham Kushikatsu of okra wrapped in loin ham Topped with sprouts and onion dressing, super yummy So good you can eat it like a salad Besides those: shrimp wrapped in shiso, pork, scallop bacon, sausage, asparagus, kampachi wrapped in green onion, and Anno sweet potato for 10 in total, plus an extra chicken Every kushikatsu was big and creative, like the chicken one topped with apple — all skewers that got me excited before I even ate them Plus they're not greasy, light and easy to eat At first I planned to have 15, but the owner said, "They're pretty filling, can you eat that many?" so I went with 10, and that was absolutely the right call Extra skewers are 110 yen to 660 yen It seems high-end skewers like kuruma prawns are included in the stop system Drinks: Yebisu large bottle beer 660 yen, Yebisu draft beer 550 yen, Kaku highball 418 yen, chuhai 440 yen The highball is strong, with strong carbonation, and they put in a big lemon wedge They're particular about only having Yebisu for beer Inside there are about 10 counter seats, spaced fairly close together The owner runs it solo, so sometimes 3 skewers come out fried at once, but that's part of the charm It was my first time, but the creativity of the kushikatsu, the taste, the low prices, plus cheap and tasty drinks won my heart right away The owner is apparently having surgery soon, so I hope the owner gets well quickly and keeps frying delicious kushikatsu Next time I'll go eat the kuruma prawns that were sold out When you go, I recommend reserving a few days in advance
View on GoogleCheap and delicious creative kushikatsu It's always packed so it's hard to get in Lucky if there's space Really delicious and not heavy🥰 The owner runs it alone, but I don't think it's that slow My favorite shop in Fuse
