Happening to walk past the storefront, the guerrilla business day written on the signboard hanging outside is none other than today! Thinking I must go, I arrived past noon. There's quite a line! Waiting a little and entering the shop, it's a cramped place with only counter seats. Looking at the menu, there's an interesting-sounding curry called Kintoun Curry. When you order, you can hear the sound of eggs being beaten leisurely. What's served is a black curry with a black, watery roux poured over a mound of omelet sitting on top of the rice. The rice was 250g by default, so I had them make it 300g with a large portion for +50 yen. First, taking a bite with a spoon, the spice feel is a bit weak. At this rate, it's a curry made on the same day. This type of curry transforms after sitting overnight, but the spice feel weakens, so aroma and richness are inversely proportional. However, the good broth from the stewed beef tendon comes out well. It was a black curry with a relatively Japanese-style nuance. Since it's currently a guerrilla business, they seem to be open for lunch only 2 days at the end of the month, and not only inside the shop, but there are also tons of takeout customers. It was an enjoyable meal with the vibe of a mysterious curry restaurant known only to those in the know.

View on GoogleI can definitely state this is the #1 hardest-to-visit curry restaurant in Kitakawachi. I had the opportunity to go to the storefront 2 or 3 times, but it was often right after business hours ended, so it didn't work out. I went this time, and personally it was neither good nor bad. Characteristically, the soup is a very watery liquid, but at the same time it maintains sufficient richness. The 300g hamburger steak was certainly filling enough. Also, since there was someone taking away enough for over 10 people, there might be quite a few hardcore fans. Note that prices seem to have gone up due to soaring living costs, so please be careful of the prices. The Kaname Hamburger Steak was 1070 yen.
View on GoogleOrdered the fluffy-gooey curry with beef tendon topping. The beef tendon was meltingly soft. The fluffiness and gooiness of the egg was also top-notch. It's said to contain black garlic, but I didn't feel any garlic odor at all.
