View on Google1957... born in Shoji-Higashi, Ikuno Ward, Osaka City (nearest station Fuse), now living in Nara City. Strolling around the Fuse Station area for the first time in 50 years, I found a shop serving raw oysters. I could drink cava too, and had fresh Akkeshi raw oysters. It was a very delicious and fun time. The master—from Nerima Ward, Tokyo, a handsome man who looks just like Onoe Kikugoro VIII, gentle and speaking standard Japanese—was wonderful.
View on GoogleMy first time! About 3 tables? 3 counter seats? Something like that? It's a cozy little space, but the retro atmosphere is calming. Raw oysters, gangan-yaki, simmered sea bream head, oyster rice, seared shime saba—all were ridiculously delicious. Especially the oyster rice—the best!! Partway through I asked for cold water, and they said, "Your throat doesn't seem to be in great shape, shall I make it hot water instead?"! Wow! I was so moved that they'd noticed me clearing my throat! Thank you so much. I'll definitely go again!! I recommend it, but I don't want it to get crowded so I don't want to recommend it😭, but seriously, recommended‼️
View on GoogleI love oysters so I went several times, but the raw oysters varied so wildly from one to the next that I was sometimes disappointed (2nd photo) It came out like this, and while I thought "Hm?", it was a shop I liked, so I just ate it without saying anything…. Of course, the price was the same as usual. Personally I feel oysters are best served ice-cold with a bed laid underneath, but sometimes they were lukewarm, and before I knew it I'd stopped going. Also, running it solo even on busy days gives the impression of making customers feel they need to be considerate. They're friendly, but the lack of breathing room shows way too much. Even timing a drink order takes a lot of consideration. If they're billing themselves as an oyster shop, I'd like bigger lemon wedges on top too. The tabletop ponzu tastes way too careless as well…. I get the impression they don't really care about the parts that matter. I do think it's very handy when you want a quick bite of oysters.
