Fuse "Jidaiya Coffee" TAKEOUT While wandering around the shopping street, I spotted a "Coffee Retail!" sign deep down an alley. Peeking in out of curiosity, it seems they also sell beans and ground coffee directly. A pretty tasteful Showa-retro old folk house with a coffee shop attached too. This time I bought the shop's namesake Jidaiya Coffee, 100g for 550 yen, as beans🫘 I'll grind them at home and enjoy.
View on GoogleWhen I want to soak in nostalgia, this is the shop I head to Right under the elevated tracks between Kintetsu Fuse〜Eiwa 【Jidaiya Coffee】 For eat-in, they have 11 kinds of coffee☕️ and 🫖tea, soft drinks, au lait and other drinks Only‼️ This time, the classic "Jidaiya Blend" A coffee with slight acidity and no quirks and adding milk makes it really mellow😋 If they had 🍞toast, sandwiches, cake and such, I'd want to come more often, but... It always feels like a lot of the customers are office workers Not that I'm eavesdropping, but what I overhear seems to often be talk about insurance🙄 🚬Smoking is allowed, and since I'm not a fan, after savoring ☕️one cup I often hurry home But the master and mama-san seem so kind that I hope to sit down and hear their stories someday, so I open the door again🚪😁❣️ Fuse coffee shop Fuse cafe Eiwa Higashi-Osaka coffee shop Higashi-Osaka cafe Retro kissaten Long-established Old folk house Coffee shop
View on GoogleThe Jidaiya Blend has a fruity flavor with a hint of sweetness. The Santos has a clean aftertaste with no quirks. Every coffee is so delicious it's hard to pick a favorite. The master couple are wonderful people and really kind. It's a calming shop that's cheaper and tastier than other places.
View on GoogleI found it while taking a walk along the road one street over. It was right before they were about to close, but they kindly welcomed me in. It seemed like a place where you could relax and take your time. Since it was my first time at the shop, I had them grind the original Jidaiya Coffee blend beans.
View on GoogleI had the Jidaiya Blend coffee. Drunk black, it was a coffee with acidity. This is just my impression.., but somehow it had a bread-like, wheaty flavor (sorry if I'm wrong). I thought it was a coffee that goes well with the sweetness of creamer. Personally, I thought it seemed like a coffee that would go well with things like jam buns.
