A regular cold bukkake with chikuwa tempura and egg tempura. The udon is seriously firm and chewy, and the tempura is freshly fried and piping hot. An incredibly high standard. Definitely among the top places claiming to serve Sanuki udon in Kansai.

A place serving firm, chewy Sanuki udon. I visited on a hot day and ordered it cold, but it was so chewy I almost didn't know when to swallow. The cold version was delicious too, but if possible I'd recommend the hot version. The tempura was also freshly fried, inexpensive, and delicious.

An udon shop right near Kindai University. Although it's in a student neighborhood, they reportedly focus on authentic Sanuki udon, which raises expectations. Kamaage udon (¥500) with tempura (+¥100 at lunchtime) comes to ¥600, reasonably priced. Payment is possible with Paypay as well as cash. The udon and tempura were served in about 5 minutes. True to Sanuki udon, the noodles were firm with a good texture, and delicious with just egg and soy sauce. Unlike major udon chains, you get freshly fried tempura, which is nice. Recommended for easily enjoying inexpensive, delicious Sanuki udon.

The best smoothness going down. Udon is a drink. Udon that's delicious to drink is the best. The thickness, the chewiness, exactly the noodles I love. Maybe because I was eating it like an udon lover, they struck up a chat with me😁 The dashi is delicious too, a flavor I like. The self-serve tenkasu is also good. They tell you, if it runs out, just let us know. PayPay accepted. You get an order slip at the udon pickup counter and fill it out by the ticket machine. The large portion is properly big, which makes me happy. And it's a bargain at 600 yen🙂 It's served fast too. Gulped it down and finished in 6 minutes. I've found a new favorite spot✨

This time I ordered large kake udon a two-piece tempura set (chicken, egg) I wanted something warm to eat and while I was wandering around there was Menpachi, which I've been to a few times☝️ The udon is super chewy and mochi-mochi slides down smoothly and is so delicious😋🍴💕 Green onions, ginger, tenkasu, and sesame are all-you-can-add, which is a nice bonus🥰 The egg was soft-boiled way too perfectly the best😍😍 The noodle portion was big too, totally satisfied😆💕
