It's old-fashioned shitamachi ramen, but the flavor has definitely evolved compared to a few years ago. The soup isn't the greasy tonkotsu type you often see these days, but a carefully crafted soy sauce base with the umami of vegetables thoroughly blended in, so delicious you want to drink it to the last drop. The noodles have just the right thickness and firmness and go perfectly with the crisp vegetables. You can feel the owner's dedication to research in every bowl. It's great to come across such a carefully made bowl at a neighborhood ramen shop. A place I want to keep supporting! (The nira reba on the side menu is delicious too)
View on GoogleWent as a married couple. The miso ramen was the best, so delicious!! The fried rice and miso gyoza were also delicious. It warmed us body and soul in winter^_^ We'll be back!
View on GoogleI visited for the first time in about 30 years. The place was busy and the tables were full, so I sat at the counter. Seeing the old man still tossing the wok just like back then, I was surprised and moved, thinking "So cool!" (He's probably around 80.)😭 I ordered the miso ramen and fried rice I used to eat. The unchanged deliciousness and nostalgia filled both my heart and my stomach. I wonder when I can go next〜.😊
View on GoogleI thought it was just a good ramen shop, but the lineup is so extensive you could use it as an izakaya too. On the flip side, though, maybe late at night more customers come in izakaya-style (as a second stop)? If you go in as a ramen shop, a lot of the customers are at a somewhat unpleasant level. The ramen itself is really delicious, so I think it's best to aim for early times, like right after opening.
View on GoogleI used to come here occasionally in high school, and this time I came back for the first time in about 30 years. Nostalgic! That one word. I mean, this is pretty much the only place left where you can eat miso gyoza, so it's precious. I recommend the fried rice!
