Soy sauce chashu-men 1,500 yen + set meal set with large rice 450 yen. A garlic ramen place I'd been curious about for a while. I was torn between this and 英 nearby, but went with this one. It's right in the middle of Fuse's nightlife district, bustling at night as always. A clean, cozy interior with 6 counter seats and 1 table. I ordered the chashu-men without hesitation. The melt-in-your-mouth chashu was super delicious🤤 Goes perfectly with rice. Garlic goes really well with the soy-sauce-based light tonkotsu soup. I shook on loads of pepper to get it to my liking. The kimchi was delicious, and the large rice was gone in no time. Tsuruhashi is close by, and it holds its own against the kimchi served at Sanpei. Maybe it just happened to be quiet, but I got in right away, it was served fast too, and I was very satisfied. Added to my favorites🙆 Payment is cash, prepaid at the meal ticket machine. Next time I'll try the spicy miso chashu-men. Thanks for the meal.
View on GoogleYou buy a ticket at the meal ticket machine immediately to the left of the entrance. When you hand over the ticket, they ask how much garlic you want. I ordered the soy sauce chashu-men for 1400 yen. Extra garlic. The soup with its garlic punch is just plain delicious. The chashu was thick, with a nice balance of fat and tenderness, and delicious. If you dissolve all the chopped garlic into the soup, it gets an intense punch and heat, and even when you drink water all you can taste is garlic lol
View on GoogleThe service was a minus, so I figured they must be particular about the flavor, but it was super salty. The noodles were so bad I thought they might be instant noodles. I don't think it's worth the price. I don't want to go back. Even when customers come in, they're unfriendly and don't seem glad to see them. The Google ratings were good too, so the hype was too high. It was disappointing.
View on GoogleFinally made my first visit to a shop I'd been wanting to go to! Maybe because it was right after the 20:00 opening, I was the only customer. So my bowl arrived smoothly. The owner has a kind of scary vibe, but the plating is very careful. The shoyu ramen with rice set was ¥1300, and not just the ramen but even the rice, kimchi, and takana were beautifully plated, which made a really good impression. I'm off tomorrow, so I ordered extra garlic. Looking at the ramen, rather than being heaped on the surface, it seems to get dropped into the soup at the serving stage. With extra garlic it was a bit spicy, but for some reason I couldn't stop eating…💦 The soup was also surprisingly light, and before I knew it I'd drunk it all (lol) The heat of the napa cabbage kimchi on the side and the slight kick of the takana were spot on, and I got to experience a slightly different take on garlic ramen( •̀ᄇ• ́)ﻭ✧ I could've gone for a kaedama, but I'll save that to look forward to next time…|( ̄3 ̄)| It was solidly delicious. Next time I'll take on the miso. Thanks for the meal!
View on GoogleI visited for lunch. It's a system where you buy a meal ticket at the ticket machine right as you come in the entrance. I ordered the soy sauce chashu ramen set meal (comes with rice, takana, and kimchi) for 1,280 yen Large rice is free, and you can choose the amount of garlic. Topped with big chunky pieces of chashu, it looks delicious! A sip of the soup, a slurp of the noodles — a taste I've had somewhere before? Chomp into the chashu! Delicious! Just as I thought⁉︎ When I asked the master, without making a face at all, they told me about training for many years at a certain famous shop before going fully independent. Whether you call the taste similar or, as they say these days, "inspired-style," there's no doubt it's very delicious. It was so delicious that I want to try the miso and spicy miso ramen too The master is friendly and the service feels great Why is the shop called 44 (yon-yon)? What's with the garlic tail that's the shop's trademark? Wouldn't it be fun to ask about mysteries like those?
