The food is delicious, the presentation is careful, and familiar izakaya menu items including drinks are reasonably priced♪ The counter was a spacious size, so I went ahead and ordered all kinds of things at once, but no problem lol The simmed fish was a bit sweet, I guess! Overall, the seasoning is a bit heavy, but the food is so-so delicious. Since cooking is done by the master alone, food takes a long time to come out. Because of that, the kids, whose excitement level was ⤴︎⤴︎ from going out to an izakaya for the first time in a while, got way too hungry and their excitement level went ⤵︎⤵︎. On the service side, the female floor staff was not only unfriendly, but her voice was so quiet that I couldn't tell if orders were properly taken (no response), and even if she said something, I couldn't make out what she was chattering about at all. To make matters worse, tables have deep depth (distance), and transparent COVID-19 sheets tightly enclose all four sides, making conversations with the person opposite extremely hard to hear. When I tried talking to the other person while lifting the sheet slightly with my finger, I was warned, "Don't lift it." Of course I wouldn't do that during peak COVID, but given this trend where it's been downgraded to category 2 and quite a few people don't even wear masks anymore, if going to eat with a family of 3 including a child comes with that much fuss, I won't be a repeat customer, I thought.

Since cooking is handled by the master alone, food comes out a little slow when there are many customers. Other than that, no complaints.

On a weekend Friday night, we reserved for 15 people at a place holding about 30 with just 1 staff in the kitchen and 1 on the floor, and when other customers also entered, they couldn't handle it, and we were made to wait for both food and drinks.
