We stopped at this roadside station for a quick breakfast and to buy the local produce. There are several buildings here. One building holds a shop selling lots of local products like jams, biscuits, local souvenirs and there is also a cafe (with a nice bakery). Another building is the farmers market where you can find lots of fresh fruits, flowers and vegetables. We did expect there to be more food options but it was just a small cafe - nevertheless the cafe served nice western cuisine. There are some stalls selling hot food outside but we did not see what they had because they were not open. As a foreign tourist this was our first experience at a Michi-no-eki (roadside station) and it was nice to see many locals supporting the local farmers. We bought lots of fruits, in particular we got persimmon and figs which were in season.

Update, in the morning the cleaning person works very hard to keep bathroom clean, and the women's toilet water are running and in good condition. There's just a high volume of cars, trucks and people through out the day. If you want to Park and Sleep this is a poor option. The Park and Sleep is across the street in a descaled parking lot. The bathroom is poorly maintained, men's toilet meets minimum standard. Women's toilets, the Western style were all out of order, the only ones working were Japanese style.

Not the best roadside station. It has a very busy market and very dated toilets. It does have a supermarket nearby but no wifi. It gets really busy on a weekend too.

8pm. 30.12.2024. Monday. The female toilets are all not flushing. 😖
