I went because "Udon Takenaka" has reopened after renovation. In the Showa-retro interior, I had their specialty suji udon. They also have okonomiyaki and modern-yaki, so those who want a hearty meal will be satisfied!
View on GoogleI had the suji udon. The tendon meat is sweet and delicious. Also, the broth is super delicious. The atmosphere of the restaurant and the staff feel just like a neighborhood udon and okonomiyaki shop, which is the best. Even past 1 PM, it was crowded with locals.
View on GoogleI went on a friend's recommendation. They've been in business for nearly 40 years, and I love the reliable taste and the cozy atmosphere. The suji modan (beef tendon okonomiyaki) here is a must-try. The texture of the suji is incredibly delicious.-----I went on a friend's recommendation. View on GoogleThe service from the ladies was warm, and the udon was delicious! The prices are reasonable too. I guess the only slight drawback is waiting about 8 to 13 minutes after ordering?
View on GoogleThis is a diner near Morinoki Shokudo that only locals know about. I had a large bowl of curry udon, meat udon, 2 onigiri, and a medium bowl of white rice (with my wife). The udon is the slightly soft style from the old days. Chewy udon is nice, but this kind of udon goes down smoothly. The flavor isn't too spicy and is just right. I didn't specify the flavor for the onigiri, but kelp and pickled plum came out. It was delicious, so I polished it off. Since there's curry udon soup left over and it'd be a waste, I ordered an extra medium white rice. I was full. Got change from two thousand yen. There is no parking lot, so I parked at Morinoki and walked a bit; parking was free for 20 minutes and 200 yen per hour after that.
